Tainted Grail: Fall of Avalon contains four secret epilogue routes, right after and before you acquire King Arthur’s soul. Two of the endings can be triggered by choosing specific dialogue, and the other two by making harsh decisions. Here is a complete guide to reveal all 4 secret epilogue routes in Tainted Grail: Fall of Avalon.
All Endings in Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon
There are four different secret epilogues in Tainted Grail, you must take four different routes to trigger them. Each one will have a different outcome, dialogue waiting at the end. Here are the four secret routes:
- Secret Epilogue #1: If You Kill Caradoc
- Secret Epilogue #2: If You Save Caradoc (Honest Route)
- Secret Epilogue #3: If You Save Caradoc (Lie Route)
- Secret Epilogue #4: Swim to the Island (Game Over)
Secret Epilogue #1: If You Kill Caradoc

Objective: We must kill Caradoc in the prison before breaking out.
After breaking out of the prison cell, kill Caradoc the second time you meet him. Once you take him down, loot his body to find: Mysterious Letter, Sale Conduct Pass, Wolf’s Howl (Sword), Ranger’s gear, and other random items. Continue with the mission, break out of the prison to escape to the island.
Note: You will not be able to deduce the language of the Mysterious Note looted from Caradoc’s corpse.
Once the boat lands on the coastline, you can start a bonfire to start a unique dialogue with Arthur Pendragon. He will congratulate you for standing your ground and killing Caradoc. Arthur will also mention the pin you loot from Caradoc’s corpse. He will mention the pin’s importance to our journey. And that’s it, the rest of the game will run without Caradoc.
Secret Epilogue #2: If You Save Caradoc (Honest Route)

Objective: Telling Caradoc about Arthur’s Soul.
This takes place after you break out of the prison, but this time, instead of killing Caradoc, you let him live. After the prison break, you will arrive at the island’s coastline. Find Caradoc, he will be hanging around the boat near the coast.
- First Dialogue Option: Caradoc will ask why you took a long time to get here. Here, choose the option: “I ran into some trouble along the way.”
- Second Dialogue Option: Caradoc will reply that you must have something valuable. Here, reply with: “I…found King Arthur.”
- Third Dialogue Option: Caradoc will feel sorry that you found King Arthur, then you should reply: “What are you talking about?”
After your third dialogue exchange with Caradoc, you will enter into combat against Caradoc. Caradoc will defeat you and stab you with his sword, hoping it will end the Arthur soul in your body. But nothing will happen, as Caradoc will not be able to remove Arthur’s Soul from your body.
Caradoc will then go on about killing Arthur’s soul all around Avalon, asking you to help find the soul to end it. After the dialogue exchange, sit at a bonfire, you will have a conversation with Arthur’s soul, and he will start talking about being alive after being stabbed by Caradoc. Since Caradoc is on his way to destroy the remains of Arthur’s soul, Arthur will ask you to claim the parts first before Caradoc gets hold of them.
Secret Epilogue #3: If You Save Caradoc (Lie Route)

Objective: Lie to Caradoc about Arthur’s Soul.
After breaking out of prison, you will find Caradoc near the boat. Start talking to him, and he will begin asking questions about your slow appearance. Here, instead of mentioning finding Arthur’s soul, you choose the dialogue option: “I have no idea what happened to me,” instead of “I…found King Arthur.”
Caradoc will then push us by mentioning our illness and how it has completely healed, even though there was no cure. Here, again, stick to the option “I told you – I have no idea” instead of “I…found King Arthur.”
Continue with the conversation, as Caradoc will mention destroying King Arthur, his goal on Avalon. Caradoc will then talk about finding pieces of Arthur, collecting and destroying them. Here, choose the dialogue option “I don’t care about all of that.”
You can then set up a bonfire to talk to King Arthur’s soul. He will have a different dialogue about Caradoc.
Secret Epilogue #4: Swim to the Island (Game Over)
Objective: Avoid Caradoc and swim to the island.
After breaking out of prison, instead of talking to Caradoc near the boat, here dive into the water on the right and swim forward. Which will directly take you to the next island, completely removing the dialogue exchange with Caradoc.
Soon, a new cutscene will play out, referring to your decision not to talk to Caradoc. A group of red priests will catch you and kill you, leaving you with a game-over screen.
