Adventure Books is the only way to get Indy strong enough to take on the Nazis with a powered fist and a strong whip. Getting your hand on them can be pretty tough, as they are hidden well behind quests and puzzles, and a whole lot of surprises. This guide will show you the exact location and the quests attached to get all the Adventure Books in Sukhothai in Indiana Jones & The Great Circle.
All 31 Sukhothai Adventure Books Locations
Here we are going to take a look at all the Adventure books in Sukhothai. Some of them are exploration books that can be bought with Liras and Medicine bottles.
We also recommend you own a Royal Army Key, as it will unlock quite a few Locked Doors in the game. Some of them are tied to mysteries and main questlines. Without further ado, let’s start the journey into getting all the adventure books in Sukhothai.
Adventure Book #1
Title: Packing Slugboy 2
Adventure Points to Unlock: 950
Quest: Trouble in Paradise
Effect: Increases your handgun capacity
Where to Find: There are two ways we can get this book in Sukhothai. The first one includes the area we visit on the mission “Trouble in Paradise“. Here get to the mission until the objective says “Call Marcus“.
Now, instead of heading toward the objective, move left of the area and you will find two guards by the crate. Go behind the truck to their left, and you will find the book lying on its back.
Alternatively, head to the Voss Camp and you will find the book underneath the wooden platform. Here you have to crawl to get to the location and retrieve the book.
Adventure Book #2
Title: Combat Fast Hands
Adventure Points to Unlock: 650
Quest: Trouble in Paradise
Effect: Increase the reload speed of revolvers
Where to Find: During the mission “Trouble in Paradise“, get into the tent located left of the large house in the middle. Inside the tent, you will find the book lying on the bed.
Adventure Book #3
Title: Brawling Jumbo Shove
Adventure Points to Unlock: 700
Effect: Allows you to push heavyweight enemies.
Where to Find: Head south of Sukhothai Village. Behind the large boulder, you will find a box on the ground. There are two palm trees next to the boulder, you can use it as a visual cue to track it down on the map. Open the box and you will find the Brawling Jumbo Shove book.
Adventure Book #4
Title: Survival Lucky Hat 2
Adventure Points to Unlock: 500
Effect: Recover Lucky Hat Faster
Where to Find: Enter Voss Camp north of Sukhothai. Once inside, turn right and head through the doorway. You will find the book on the desk, in the front, right next to a typewriter.
Adventure Book #5
Title: Exploration Book Relics
Adventure Points to Unlock: None
Mystery: Elephant in the Room
Effect: Reveals Sukhothai Relics on the Map
Where to Find: Make your way north of Voss Camp. Enter the tomb to unlock the Elephant in the Room mystery.
Puzzle: Under the Buddha statue, you will have two pressure plates. Here, we must put one Elephant Statue on the first pressure plate under the Buddha Statue and the Second Elephant Statue on a shelf right next to the Statue to unlock the secret gate.
- First Elephant location: In the statue room, turn right. An elephant statue can be found in a hole in the wall. Take the elephant and place it on the right shelf under the Buddha statue.
Once you place the elephant on the right shelf under the Buddha Statue, the pressure plate here will open a small door on the right of the Buddha statue. You will now need to get a second elephant statue to put it in this new location.
- Second Elephant location: Turn left from the center of the room, and you will find a wooden board covering the hole in the wall. Use your lighter to burn down the barricade, and grab the elephant inside. Now place it on the shelf right of the Buddha statue.
- Now grab the first elephant statue under the shelf on the right and place it on the first shelf under the Buddha Statue. Once you have placed both elephant statues in their proper location, the secret door will now be open.
Now you can head inside and you will find the adventure book all the way at the end, on a desk.
Adventure Book #6
Title: Exploration of Sukhothai Frequencies
Adventure Points to Unlock: None
Effect: Reveals all the Frequencies Locations in Sukhothai on the Map
Where to Find: Just head to the Voss Camp and you will find the book on a desk to your left, next to the typewriter.
Adventure Books #7-9
Here we must open two locked doors in Voss Camp that require us to own a Royal Army Key.
Getting The Royal Army Key
You don’t have to go too far in the map to obtain it. Just head to the west of the Voss Camp, and you will find the disguise on a desk.
Adventure Book# 7
Title: Brawling Bear Hands
Adventure Points to Unlock: 1400
Effect: Allows Indy to perform unarmed takedowns.
Where to Find: Head to the southwest of Voss Camp. Here you will find the Royal Army Room, and inside the room you will find the Brawling Bear Handbook.
Adventure Books #8 – 9
Title: Kummetz Guide (No Points)/ Combat Jumbo Throttle
Adventure Points to Unlock: 650 for Jumbo Throttle
Effect: All points of interest in the KMS Kummetz/ Can Whip Pull unaware heavyweight enemies.
Make your way to the top floor of the Voss Camp. In this room, you will also encounter another locked door. Open it and you will find Jumbo Throttle and Exploration Kummetz Guide on the desk.
Adventure Book #10
Title: Fitness Iron Grip 2
Adventure Points to Unlock: 475
Effect: Clinching enemies last longer
Where to Find: Move to the north side of Wat Chana Songkhram. Here next to the truck, you will find a dilapidated temple, inside you will find a book and a shotgun.
Adventure Book #11
Title: Exploration Shanghai Guide
Adventure Points to Unlock: None
Effect: Reveals point of interest for Shanghai map.
Where to Find: Head west of Wat Mahathat, here you will find a camp just left of the giant tree in the water. Drop off the boat and start navigating through the narrow route and you will eventually find a route that leads to the camp. Then you can grab the exploration book on the crate next to the chairs.
Adventure Book #12
Title: Survival Seeing Red
Adventure Points to Unlock: 900
Effect: More damage on your last health bar
Objective: We just need to follow the white tiger marks to get to the area to track down the adventure book.
Where to Find: For this one, we need to make our way to Wat Mahathat. When you get to the entrance of the Nazi Camp in the area, you will encounter a truck parked just right behind the toll gate. If you get to the back of the truck, you will see a tiger marker, now take the route left and you will find a wooden plank with the same tiger marker etched with a white substance.
Then take the path right of the plank and you will find the last tiger plank and underneath the plank, you will find the Seeing Red Survival book amongst other goodies.
Adventure Book #13
Title: Exploration Medicine
Adventure Points to Unlock: 1400
Quest: Timely Arrival Mystery
Effect: Allows Indy to perform unarmed takedowns.
Where to Find: Move to the south of Wat Chana Songkhram. Sneak into the camp and you will find a locked chest. When you are south of the camp, you will find a broken hole at the bottom of the fence wall. Go through the broken fence and then get to the tent on your right.
- Here you will find the chest and two notes on the desk next to the chest. One note will have the codewords and the other one will have the Name.
- The code for the chest will be written on a mystery note. But the answers here will not be direct. We are given the word – GIADA.
We will find the corresponding code to each letter on the Shipment Paper. The code we will arrive in will be “5,9,4,0,4 “. Now interact with the chest and unlock the code to open it retrieve the Exploration Medicine book and end the Timely Arrival mystery.
Adventure Book #14
Title: Brawling Punch Out 2
Adventure Points to Unlock: 600
Effect: Knocking out the enemy restores one bar of your health
Where to Find: Get to the Fascist Armory southwest of Sukhothai. Inside the Nazi camp, turn left to find the locked door. Here you will need a Royal Army Key to open the door and loot the book inside.
Adventure Books #15-19
Title: Exploration of Sukhothai Books, Mysteries, Notes, Cog Wheels, Artifacts
Cost: 450 for Sukhothai Books/ Mysteries/ Artifacts | 700 for Cogwheels | 950 for Notes
Effect: Reveals all the Books/ Mystery/ Artifacts/ Cogwheel/ Note Locations in Sukhothai on the Map
Where to Find: You can buy all these books from Tongdang in Tongdang’s Hut middle of Sukhothai.
Adventure Book #20
Title: Brawling Jumbo Grip
Adventure Points to Unlock: 600
Mystery: Path of Yigers mystery
Effect: Knocking out the enemy restores one bar of your health
Where to Find: Get on the boat and look for a Flooded Hut on the river, next to the Tongdang’s Hut. Here get off the boat and head inside the hut. You will find a safe on the chair. We have to find a code to unlock it.
Next to the safe, you will find a photograph, a picture of a hand-drawn tiger with writings. The next stop here will be Wat Si Sawai, here in the location head southwest of the map to get to the ruins. Take the path left and head to the Buddha statue.
Once you inspect the tiger’s paw, you will get the code “2480.” Now head back to the hut next in the Tongdang’s Hut and you will be able to open the safe by inputting the code.
Adventure Book #21
Title: Brawling Slugger 2
Adventure Points to Unlock:900
Mystery: Monkey Business
Effect: More damage to charged-up attacks
Where to Find: This adventure book is tied to the Monkey Business mystery. Here we must recover the equipment key stolen by the monkey.
Head to the Fascist Armory located south of Sukhothai. Having a Royal Army outfit here helps skip most of the tension, as you will be able to walk anywhere in the camp without making the soldiers mad.
Once in the camp, make your way to the large two-story tent. Now make your way to the second floor of the tent. Here we have to carry certain works to continue the questline.
- Take a picture of the monkey warning on the board.
- Grab the Mystery note off the desk next to a typewriter. and Francesco’s note.
- Lastly, interact with the keyring note on the wall next to the doorway.
Leave the tent, and head to the swamp area east of the armory, you will find a monkey wearing a helmet and the equipment key. Now make your way back to the second floor of the tent and open the door with the equipment key to grab the Brawling Slugger 2 book.
Adventure Book #22
Title: Combat Street Scrapper 3
Adventure Points to Unlock: 1500
Mystery: Counting Letters
Effect: Deal more damage with one and two-handed melee weapons.
Where to Find: You will find the Counting Letters mystery below Wat Mahathat and above the region of the Fascist Armory. In the camp, you will find a chest and letters that we need to solve to get the code to open the chest.
On the same desk as the chest, you will find all the documents and information you need to solve the mystery.
- Here grab Bartolomeo’s Challenge note.
- Now take the pieces of code wheels on the desk and install them into the machine next to them. Once all four pieces of code wheel are installed, we can move to the next phase, solving the riddle.
On Bartolomeo’s Challenge Note, we are going to get the code JHHS. Now interact with the code wheel, and make sure the letters stay J-H-H-?. You are not going to find S on the fourth wheel. Here Focus on the first three letters J-H-H, underneath these letters, you will have B-I-E-?.
Open the Code Table board off the desk, here you will find the word that has all three letters ‘B-I-E’ is BIER – 4134.
Now head up to the chest, and input 4134 to unlock it and get the book inside.
Adventure Book #23
Title: Combat Handyman
Adventure Points to Unlock: 800
Effect: Raises durability of Melee weapons
Where to Find: Head to the east of Wat Si Sawai. get inside the Khmer Warrior Temple, drop down the ladder, and head straight. From the light, turn right to enter a room, here you will find the book lying on the crate to your right.
Adventure Books #24-25
Title: Survival – Hardboiled 3 + Packing – Saw Bones 3
Adventure Points to Unlock: 1200 for Hardboiled 3/ 700 for Saw Bones 3
Effect: Hardboiled 3 – Merges two health bars into one / Saw Bones – Increase Bandage inventory capacity by one
Where to Find: Get to the Jungle Bruiser Pit east of Sukhothai. You will find both books on a desk behind the NPC, they are hefty in price, so make sure your wallet is full before heading down to the pit. You will find the desk on your right after entering the pit.
Adventure Books #26 – 31
Title: Survival Shaping Up 1/2/3 + Fitness Moxie 1/2/3 (Total 6)
Unlock Requirements: Medicinal Bottles
Effect: Shaping Up – Increase Health Reserve by one bar/ Moxie – Extends Stamina bar.
Where to Find: Head to Medical Hut in Sukhothai village, you can buy the next six books from the vendor “Noo” in exchange for medical bottles.
