To the right of this well is the puzzle area. Enter it and investigate the skeletons to find them all holding torches. Interact with the torches to light them up and start the puzzle.

The Skeleton Statue Puzzle solution involves finding the right set of skeletons that need to have lit and unlit candles. The key to the puzzle lies in another fieldwork quest that involves getting 10 photo inscriptions across Vatican City, so complete that first in case you have not done that. The reason this is important is because the pictures have clues as to which skeletons will have the candle lit and unlit.
Take a look at each photo and note down two things. You must take note of what the Golden Man is doing, and also whether the candle under each mural is lit up or not. The inscriptions will tell you the story of the Golden Man, and you need to arrange the photos in order from his life up until his death.
The story starts off with the Golden Man talking to someone holding a sword, then later receiving the sword from him. The Golden Man will then urge others to help him fight the devil, but this will lead them to their deaths, including the death of the Golden Man.
