Hytale: How to Access All Dimensions

The world of Hytale is a pretty massive one, with numerous biomes, hundreds of enemies and more crafting materials than you can count. And the game isn’t even finished yet!

But what if I were to tell you that the world you’re adventuring in isn’t the only world? In fact, simply by stepping through an ancient gateway, you can visit pocket universes and witness things you could never even dream of.

The world of Hytale is about to get a whole lot bigger, so strap on your adventuring gear and get ready to set forth on a brand new journey into the unknown!

    Ancient Gateway

Before you’re able to create an Ancient Gateway, first you’ll have to travel to the Forgotten Realm and unlock the ability to store memories. Look for the little swirl icon on your world map and travel through the portal there.

Once you’re inside, you can interact with the totem in the centre of the hub area to unlock the memory collection system. Once you’ve left and collected 100 memories, return, and you’ll unlock the recipe for the Ancient Gateway.

Next, you’ll need to create an Arcanist’s Workbench. The gateway recipe is as follows:

    • 30x Cobblestone
    • 10x Thorium Ingot
    • 10x Essence of Life
    • 10x Essence of the Void

Once you’ve created a Gateway, you’ll need Fragments of Orbis to travel to new worlds.

    Windrider Valley

When you enter Windrider Valley, you will find yourself in a lush crater in the middle of the desert. This area is full of tall mountains with little houses on top. In these houses live the Feran people, who are usually docile, unless provoked.

You can also find various chests inside the houses, filled with food, armour, and farming items. It’s noted that a Mage tower may also spawn on occasion, although I didn’t see this in my visit.

You can create a Windrider Valley Fragment with the following items:

    • 10x Thorium Ingot
    • 30x Essence of Life

You will have 6 minutes upon entering to discover as much as possible and loot everything that you can. As soon as the timer runs out, you will be banished from this realm and will appear outside your original portal.

    Dragonspire Weald

This area is characterised by its looming snow-capped mountains and abundance of Fir trees. You will spawn on ground level, next to a long, snaking river, and if you want to discover the secrets of the mountain, you’ll have to ascend yourself. These can be pretty steep, so make sure to bring some expendable building blocks.

If you’re lucky, you may find a Frost Dragon sitting on an icy spire, slumbering. However, at this moment in time, you can’t do anything. In the future, I’m fairly sure you’ll be able to fight this dragon.

Apart from that, you can find a lot of bears and a huge amount of gold ore atop the mountain. So if you need to create some magical weaponry, this place is perfect.

You can create a Dragonspire Weald Fragment with the following items:

    • 10x Cobalt Ingot
    • 30x Essence of Ice

Unlike the previous area, you will instead get 7 minutes here before you are removed.

    Dread Wade

The final area doesn’t seem to have a lot going for it. It is, of course, under development, so temper your expectations.

You will spawn in a large flat swampy area, with shallow water and a huge tree in the centre. Here you’ll find a huge number of crocodiles, which are fantastic for farming Heavy Hides, if you need some for upgrading your workstations or equipment.

Unlike the other areas, after 7 minutes, void portals will begin to spawn, and void monsters will start to overwhelm the world. You have 3 minutes to kill as many creatures as possible before the world closes.

You can create a Dread Wade Fragment with the following items:

    • 10x Adamantite Ingot
    • 30x Essence of Fire
