Mage Arena is a unique voice activated game that lets you speak out the spells you currently own to use them. But besides using spells, crafting and using weapons or tools are also allowed in the game. The Frog Spear is one such craftable item that isn’t particularly useful in combat, but has other uses in the game. This guide will show you how to craft and use the Frog Spear in Mage Arena.
Frog Spear Guide in Mage Arena

The Frog Spear is one of the earliest crafting tools you will learn to make as you are introduced to crafting at your base. During the tutorial, you will be guided towards the crafting bench and told to combine two items to create one tool. For the Frog Spear, you need to use the following combination.
- Log + Frog
These resources are found within chests, breakable pots, or after capturing flags and getting a resource drop. Pick each one of them up by pressing the E key and drop them on the crafting bench by pressing the G key. They will be auto-combined to give you the Frog Spear. Store it away in your inventory or hotbar for later use, or equip it for immediate use.
How to Use the Frog Spear

When held, the Frog Spear is swung around to unleash a sticky tongue. This weapon isn’t really combat worthy, but is a great tool to disarm your target. Using the Frog Spear will make your enemy drop whatever they are holding, which is extremely useful in obtaining high level spell pages or weapons like the Excalibur. This won’t work on obtaining inventory or hotbar items of your opponents.
If you don’t want to craft the Frog Spear, cooking Frog Soup also works. Hand over a Frog to the Soup Orc NPC at your base and they will craft the soup for you. Consuming it will shoot out a frog tongue from your face periodically, which also drops your target’s handheld item. This is, however, a temporary effect, unlike the Frog Spear which is carried till the end of the game.
