Satisfactory is an open world exploration and adventure game where you can build your factory in an area that you deem ideal. You can unlock various crafting recipes, collect rare resources, and enhance your factory to include various unique machines and useful gadgets. One of those gadgets is the Parachute, that lets you land safely in case you jump off a height.

In this guide we will show you how you can unlock and craft a Parachute in Satisfactory. The process isn’t too complex as we will detail the step-by-step process of getting a Parachute.

You can get the Parachute recipe in the MAM, after unlocking the Mycelia Research chain. You can unlock the Mycelia chain in the research tree of the MAM after unlocking all the prior research chains. You need to locate the Mycelia fungus in the open world and pick it up to automatically unlock this research tree. After that, craft Fabric to attain the recipe to craft Parachute.

Now, to craft a Parachute, you require 20x Fabric and 10x Cable. Take these materials to the Equipment Workshop to craft a Parachute. To craft Fabric, you require 25x Mycelia and 100x Biomass and take it to MAM to get Fabric. Cable can be crafted by taking 2x Wire to the Constructor to get 1x Cable

How To Deploy Parachutes In Satisfactory

To deploy the Parachute, all you have to do is equip the Parachute from your inventory and place it on the Body of your character, then press the Jump action button while descending. Your parachute will not open if you are ascending, so make sure you are going downwards first then deploy your Parachute. The best method to use is to open up your Parachute while you are already descending mid-way, then deploying the parachute again just before you touch the ground. That way, you won’t take up any fall damage and you can get to safety

Under certain conditions, you can deploy the parachute to get an upward drift. If you plan on catching a strong wind current, open up your parachute to catch the breeze and go in that direction. If you don’t need your parachute anymore, you can sink it into the AWESOME Sink to get 608 points. Also, with Patch 8, parachutes are no longer consumed when used, so you can use the Parachute for an indefinite time.

That’s all there is to know about Parachutes in Satisfactory. If you like this guide you can check out our other guides like How To Make Automated Wiring In Satisfactory and Best Alternate Recipes In Satisfactory
