Nightreign has 6 new classes to choose from the get go, and each class offers unique skillsets to use in battle. But there are two more hidden classes to unlock a bit later in the game, and those are the Duchess and the Revenant classes. Unlocking these unique classes will require completing some intricate questlines, and this guide will explain how to unlock both these classes in Nightreign.
How to Unlock the Duchess in Nightreign

You unlock the Duchess class by handing over an Old Pocket Watch to the cloaked Priestess at the Roundtable Hold. The Old Pocket Watch is a unique item that drops from the first Night Lord boss in the game, the Tricephalos or Gladius, Beast of Night. The Old Pocket Watch is a confirmed drop on defeating this boss. However, it also has a chance of dropping if you reach the boss fight and fail to defeat it.
On handing over the Old Pocket Watch to the NPC, you will be treated to a pretty neat cutscene, and the Duchess class will now be part of your character list. The Pocketwatch will be returned to your inventory after that. Playing as the Duchess is best for players who prefer more agility and dexterity. The Duchess has been compared to being a rogue class, as you get higher dodge times and longer jumping distances. Also, her active ability can inflict damage a second time, so you can deal twice the amount of damage on an enemy. She also has decent FP and scaling in Intelligence as well.
How to Unlock the Revenant in Nightreign

The Revenant unlocks after unlocking the Duchess. Head back to the Roundtable Hold and visit the Small Jar Bazaar. Over here, purchase the Besmirched Frame for 1,500 murk. After that, check your map to find a new explorable area on the east side of the Hold. Once you enter the room, you will find a phantom facing the wall in the corner. Interact with it and touch the phantom to be transported to a battle arena.

Here, you will face off against the secret Night Idol boss. She will summon three large spirits to help her in battle, and there are two ways to win the fight. You can either use a tankier class like the Guardian or the Raider and rush at her, since her health is quite low. Or you can use a ranged class like Ironeye, get on top of the pillars, then shoot at the spirits to get rid of them before you go for the main boss. Either way, once she is dead, she will be unlocked as a playable class.
While playing as the Revenant, she can summon one of her three spirits in battle. Plus, any enemy killed has a chance to be resurrected and can join her in battle. Her active skill can create an AoE attack that can cause damage to nearby enemies while protecting allies. Also, allies will receive a unique buff where attacks thrown at them won’t kill them, even if the attack is fatal.
