Duel Machine has been one of the best introductions to Steal a Brainrot in recent times, and they have added a layer of competitiveness to the game. Essentially, it was made available in the Roblox experience on January 10, 2026, and you can use it to take part in a 1 vs.1 duel with another player.
However, the duel has some stakes on the line, and you can wager Brainrots, with the winner taking it all. As a result, you have to be calculated and only wager things that you can afford to lose.
Here is an in-depth guide about the Duel Machine in Roblox’s Steal a Brainrot.
How to set up a duel in Steal a Brainrot

To get started, you have to head to the Duel Machine next to the Gears Shop and interact with it. I have found that three invitation routes work best:
- challenging someone on my current server (most optimal),
- inviting a friend directly, or
- punching in a player’s global username.
Once the opponent accepts, both of us select which Brainrot enters the wager ring.
The Brainrot you choose will have its value displayed clearly on screen, and, ideally, you compare the values of the wager with those of your opponent. Having mismatched values gives you an inherent disadvantage even if you win, because you could be potentially losing something worth significantly more. Thus, I advise that you always match values as closely as possible before confirming.
1 vs. 1 in the Duel Arena
After accepting the matched offer, both players will be transported to a private server containing only their bases. You will subsequently have to steal their wagered unit before they steal yours.
Keep in mind that gear restrictions vanish, and you can deploy whatever defensive tools you have unlocked at your current rebirth level. Slap Hands, defensive structures, all of it works in your favor if you time it right. The duel follows a best-of-five format, meaning whoever successfully steals three times gets the win.
Strategy for duels in Steal a Brainrot

You should treat duels as calculated investments and never make impulse decisions. Accordingly, you are advised that you wager only the Brainrots you can afford to lose. One careless loss could erase hours of progression, which is why you have to be selective while wagering your Brainrot.
The Duel Machine costs nothing to use. No tokens, no currency. The only investment you have to make is the Brainrot itself. This accessibility makes the risk-reward dynamic incredibly pure, i.e., you can either improve your collection, or you learn an expensive lesson regarding being prepared.
