Mecha Break is a fast-paced multiplayer shooter game developed by Amazing Seasun Games, which has previously released games like Biphase, Swarm the City and Dawnlands. Initially revealed at The Game Awards 2023, it is quickly gaining attention for its flashy mechanics and stylish mecha designs. It officially launched in July 2025, for free on PC and Xbox. The players control their customizable mechas across 3 game modes: ACE Arena, Operation VERGE, and Operation STORM, selecting from five distinct combat roles. These mechas, also known as Strikers, can be customised across a wide variety of paints, skins, patterns, insignias and accents, making each player’s striker unique.
The reviews on Steam stand ‘Mixed’, as the developers have faced criticisms for their cluttered UI, as well as hiding previously free skins behind a paywall. Many players have complained about this aspect of the game, pointing out the fact that it’s pay to win, while others recommend trying out Mecha Break, as it offers an exciting entry point to this genre of shooters.
