During the trailers and announcements, most players thought Black Myth: Wukong would be a soulslike game. However, on release, people quickly realized that this game plays more like a traditional action RPG with combat as its main focus. You’ve got your standard Health, Magic, and Stamina bar at the bottom left corner of your screen, and managing these bars is your key to mastering the combat in the game.
Here’s a complete guide explaining the upgrade system in Black Myth Wukong to help you maximize your Health, Magic, and Stamina bar.
How To Upgrade Health, Magic And Stamina in Black Myth: Wukong
There are three ways to upgrade your core stats like Health, Magic, and Stamina in Black Myth: Wukong.
- Use Sparks to level up in the Self-Advancement (Skill Tree) menu.
- Collect special items that boost your stats permanently.
- Trade with Xu Dog for permanent buffs.
Let’s explore how each of these methods works:
Using Sparks To Upgrade Health, Magic And Stamina
Using the Self-Advancement menu is the first and most obvious way to level up your Health, Magic, and Stamina in Black Myth: Wukong. This is essentially the skill tree, and once you collect enough experience, you gain one Spark that you can use to unlock different nodes in the menu.
Now, the Self-Advancement menu offers a lot more than just core stat upgrades, allowing you to unlock new skills and abilities for The Destined One. Make sure you spend some time checking out each node to plan a build for your character.
If you head to the Foundation Tab under the Survival category, you’ll find two skills: Robust Constitution and Rampant Vigor. Each Spark invested in Robust Constitution will boost your total Health. Investing in Rampant Vigor, on the other hand, improves your Stamina. You can upgrade both of these skills a total of six times.
Once you reach Level 30, you’ll unlock another node called Spiritual Awakening. Investing points in this node increases your Maximum Mana or Magic.
Using Collectibles To Upgrade Health, Magic And Stamina
In Black Myth Wukong, you’ll come across three main collectibles that you can pick up to permanently boost your Health, Magic, and Stamina. These upgrades make exploration more rewarding and serve as a way to make Sun Wukong stronger for a coming boss fight.
- Collecting Celestial Jade Lotus Pills increases your Health.
- Collecting Celestial Taiyi Pills increases your maximum Mana
- Collection Celestial Nonary Pills increases your Stamina bar.
Upgrading Health, Magic And Stamina By Trading With Xu Dog
