Remove the chest armor piece from the fallen teammate and you will have the Soul Heart in the chest armor slot. The Soul Heart will occupy 4 slots in your bag – however the ‘Soul’ will be located on the toolbar.

Approach an Altar of Sacrifice, interact with it and offer the Soul Heart along with a sliver of your health – and your team mate will be resurrected.

- Your ally will resurrect with only a small portion of his health intact, and no loot.
- You will need to have sufficient health to make the health sacrifice when resurrecting your team member
- If you are killed after taking the Soul Heart but before reaching the Altar of Sacrifice, it is game over for you and your teammate
