You can craft the Survey Scanner in the Workshop Room, and it takes 2500 gold and 25 days to complete the crafting. The Workshop Room costs 15,500 gold to craft, and a 4*4 space to place it. Head over to the Build menu and scroll down to find the option to build a Workshop Room. But that’s not all, you will also need a janitor with a Workshop skill to help craft items.
Once you are done building the Workshop Room, you will now see a new menu appear on the right. Select the Start Project button and press the RB/R1 button to switch through the item menus, and you will find the Survey Scanner here.

You can check out your Workshop frequently to know when the Survey Scanner is done being built. Once completed, select the Pick Up option on the bottom of the workshop menu to collect it. Once you select this expedition from the map, assign your crew and select the Choose Cargo option right below the crew assignment menu. From here, select the Survey Scanner and start the expedition. Once done, the helipad will deliver a crate containing your rewards, and you can also complete the Bigfoot Gardens expedition.
