In honor of the upcoming Minecraft movie coming out in April, Mojang has released two unique Capes that can be equipped on your character. The Home cape and the Menace cape are the two exclusive and limited time capes that you can own, and to get them you need to complete some objectives in Twitch and TikTok. This guide will cover how to get the exclusive Menace Cape in Minecraft.
Step by Step Guide to Get the Minecraft Menace Cape
The Menace Cape in Minecraft can be acquired through TikTok, and the limited time event to claim the cape will run until April 20th, 2025. To get this particular cape, you first need to own a TikTok account. Once that’s done, just follow the steps below.
- Open the TikTok app on any device. This process only works on the app and not on the TikTok website.
- Type in Minecraft in the TikTok search bar and press Enter.
- Once the results pop up, head over to the Live tab. You can find this option on the top of the screen.
- You need to find a video to watch that contains the Rewards Available tag. This will show up as an icon on the top left corner that looks like the TikTok inbox with a number on it.
- After you find this particular video with the required tag, select it to view it.
- You will notice a 3-minute counter on top of the video, and you need to view this particular video till the timer hits zero.
- After completing this task, you will automatically receive a pop up box containing a 5 digit code.
- Copy the code, then open up a new browser tab leading to the Minecraft official website.
- Click on Account on the top right of the screen and select Sign In.
- Log in to the account where you wish to own the Menace cape. Java players can unlock the new capes on Bedrock before it comes to Java, so use an account that is linked to both versions to have a better chance of owning the cape.
- You can also find a Redeem option under the Sign In option, so click on that next.
- Paste the code you had acquired from the TikTok video and press Redeem.
- You can now find the Menace cape within the dressing room section of the Bedrock edition of the game. You might have to wait a while for it to appear in the Java edition.Â
Now that you have the Menace cape, you can use it on your character and show off to your friends. Be sure to claim both limited time capes before the end date so you can own them for free.
