Three Hearts are hidden inside the Kingdom of Pharloom in Hollow Knight: Silksong, and among them is the Heart of the Woods, for which you need to claim the Pollen Heart. It’s a part of the Old Hearts Quest, and to claim the Heart, you must fight a boss, which is similar to how you can obtain the Heart of the Wild. Here’s how you can claim the Pollen Heart for the Heart of the Woods in Hollow Knight: Silksong.
Heart of the Woods Location
To obtain the Heart of the Woods, you need to defeat Nyleth, who is located inside a secret area in Grand Gate in Hollow Knight: Silksong. Begin at the location indicated on the map above. From there, head to the top, then turn right and drop down the opening below. You need to drop down completely until you’re on the ground by some destroyed structures.
Check your map to locate yourself inside the Grand Gate, near the entrance to the Underworks. That’s where you’ll be progressing from. When you’ve dropped down to the ground, you’ll find yourself at the location as shown in the image above.
From there, you need to use your Silk Soar ability to launch yourself towards the top. As you’re dropping down, use your Cling Grip ability to scale the wall on the left. Around the middle, you’ll find a breakable wall. Break the wall with a few hits. Once the wall is broken, enter and drop down below. You’ll find some vines blocking the way. Break the vines to progress to the next area.
Inside the next area, you’ll notice a platform hanging by a metal chain to the left. You need to jump up and break the metal chain, drop the platform and open the area below.
Head through the opening below, and you’ll find a plethora of spikes there. To traverse the area, use your Cling Grip ability to latch on to walls and jump to another. Drop down below, head right and attach to its wall. Then, use your traversal abilities to head left from the right wall. You’ll find another clutter of vines at the end. Hit them a few times to break it, then enter the next area.
In the next area, use the white flower petals to Pogo Jump off of them and continue left. Then, attach yourself to the wall on the left with Cling Grip. Use the white flower on the right to jump up to the flower at the top right, and keep heading right.
Once you’ve reached the platform located at the top right, break the vines on the ceiling, which will open up the entrance to the next area. Use your Silk Soar ability to climb up.
When you climb up, continue left to find the next area opening at the far end. In the next area, keep going left to find Shrine Guardian Seth sitting alone. You need to defeat him before you can proceed. This is one of the mini-bosses you’ll face in this area.
After defeating Shrine Guardian Seth, continue left to find the secret entrance to the next area inside Grand Gate. You must enter through this area to progress the Quest.
Inside the secret area, head left until you come across a fountain. Use the Needolin ability to put Hornet to sleep, which will transport you to a brand new location.
After you wake up, continue left and drop down to find Nyleth sleeping. Approach Nyleth to begin the boss fight. This is a secret boss that can only be found in Hollow Knight: Silksong’s Act 3, which leads to the Heart of the Woods.
After defeating Nyleth, you’ll be transported back to the same fountain in the previous area. You’ll find the Heart of the Woods just beside the fountain. Pick up the Pollen Heart to get the Heart of the Woods in Hollow Knight: Silksong.
