Black Myth Wukong offers a heady combination of some tough-as-nails combat along with rewarding exploration. There are several NPC quests and secret areas to discover which give you substantial and relevant loot that goes a big way in making your journey that much more fun as the Destined One. One such quest is the Old Man Quest; which unlocks a trophy on completion as well as the maximum upgrade for your Gourd – the Supreme Gourd. How To Start The Old Man Quest In Black Myth Wukong
The Old Man quest starts early in the game right in Chapter 1 by interacting with him at the Snake Trail. In all probability, you would have done this for sure as this unlocks the Blessed Gourd and the ability to absorb Spirits from defeated bosses. How To Complete The Old Man Quest In Black Myth Wukong
The Old Man quest in Black Myth Wukong involves speaking to the Old Man across various locations in the game as you progress and upgrading the Old Gourd to level 9.
Old Man Location 2: Yellow Wind Ridge
Take a left from the Windseal Gate Shrine in Yellow Wind Ridge, and enter the open area through the gate. Take the stairs on the left, and follow the path till you reach the Old Man examining the carved statues on the wall up ahead.
Old Man Location 3: Webbed Hollow
Start from the Temple Entrance Shrine in Webbed Hollow and ascend the stairs till you reach the temple entrance. Keep on the path up by taking the stairs on the right and you will come across the Old Man sitting in the open area. Interact with him and exhaust all dialog.
Before you can speak to him in the final location to complete the quest, you must upgrade the Old Gourd to Medicine Buddha Gourd with Luojia Fragrant Vines.
Old Man Final Location: Flaming Mountains
If you have been interacting with the Old Man in all the places above; and have the fully upgraded Old Gourd, we can now proceed for the final interaction at the Flaming Mountains region.
- Start from the Rakshasa Palace Shrine in Furnace Valley.
- Take the stairs up ahead and continue right where there will be more stairs.
- After the next set of stairs, enter the temple on the right to find the Old Man.
- This starts a lengthy interaction, and once all dialog is exhausted, interact with the flame to unlock the Supreme Gourd and the ‘Always Accompanied’ trophy.
