The Chefosaurus Rex is a non-combat deviant in Once Human that boosts the cooking efficiency and speed in your base. While it’s not the most difficult deviant to secure in the game, some players have a hard time figuring out where to find it. If the completionist in you is itching to capture this deviant, we’re here to lend a helping hand.

In this guide, we’ll give you the exact steps to getting the Chefosaurus Rex in Once Human. Let’s get started.

Where To Get Chefosaurus Rex in Once Human

As of today, there are two methods of obtaining Chefosaurus Rex in Once Human: completing the There’s a Dragon Here quest and farming the Securement Silo Phi in Phi.

Below, we’ll discuss both of these steps in detail:

Completing There’s a Dragon Here Quest

There’s a Dragon Here is a relatively easy quest to complete in Once Human. It has a recommended character level of 15, so you can access it quite early in the game. To get the quest, head to Meyer’s Market and talk to Lowe. He will mention a dragon nearby, and with that, the mission will start.

Follow the quest marker to Sunbury, and you’ll find the Chefosaurus Rex cooking inside the kitchen. The Deviant will look frustrated and hungry, and you’ll need to calm it down by offering some of your food. You’ll need to have the following dishes:

    • A roasted meat dish
    • A roasted meat dish
    • Steak Combo.

Once you give these dishes to the Chefasuarus Rex, you’ll get the option to capture it. Capturing it completes the quest and also gives you access to the Deviant for your base.

If you don’t feel like completing the There’s a Dragon Here Quest, the only other option to get the Deviant is to farm the Securement Silo Phi dungeon. It’s a level 25 dungeon located northwest of Greywater Camp in the Iron River region on the map.

Start your run into the dungeon normally, and you’ll soon get to a room with big double doors. Instead of opening it with a keycard, look for a black elevator in the room. Use it to go down, and you’ll find a dimensional rift at the end of a tunnel. Enter the rift, and you’ll arrive at a Hospital.

Walk into the padded room at the end of the hall, and after a brief moment, you’ll be transported somewhere else. Head out the door and kill all the enemies in the area. You’ll see a Green Pod in the area. Interact with it, and you’ll be teleported to a child’s bedroom. If you’re lucky, the Chefausaurus Rex Deviant bubble will be waiting for you here. It’s not a guaranteed drop, so if you don’t find it, rinse and repeat until you do.

What Does The Chefosaurus Rex In Once Human Do?

The Chefosaurus Rex helps the player with food preparation – both increasing the speed of cooking, as well as the potency and time duration of the benefits obtained from that food item. Do keep in mind that the Chefosaurus Rex will keep running around the area, and if it does not make in time while you are preparing a food item, that particular food item may not get the added benefit.

You can also get the Deviant in a better mood and hence increased power by putting toys, Furnace or a red light (unlocked with Basic Furniture II under Building) around.

That brings us to the end of this article. Make sure you read our other guides on the game, including The Complete Guide To All Devious Painting Puzzles and How To Get Hug In A Bowl Deviant.
