Adamant is one of the late-game items in Hades 2, introduced first in the Olympic Update. With the game launching out of its year-long early-access period, new players joining the game in cohorts might encounter certain points where they’ll have to use this reagent in-game. Below, you’ll find where to get the Adamant in Hades 2, its uses, and how to effectively find the item.
Where To Get The Adamant in Hades 2

If you need Adamant in Hades 2, you will find the item in the Mount Olympus region of the game. Around the surface path, you can see shiny objects in the room after defeating the enemies in Hades 2. There is also an accompanying audio cue of a jingling sound if there are any mineable rock formations in the room. Once you find one of these Adamants, mine them using the Crescent Pick you receive early in the game.
Ideally, carry the Crescent Pick as your gathering tool from the Crossroads Training Ground before venturing into the surface world of Olympus. This slightly increases the chances of finding Adamant in the surface world. Furthermore, since this is a rogue-lite game, the chances of stumbling upon an Adamant in Hades 2 completely boil down to your luck. You may need to make multiple runs to gather this item.
Before you get happy and excited, keep in mind that Olympus in Hades 2 is an end-game area. This is the final region of the surface area, and reaching it is a task in itself. Hence, you might have a tough time collecting Adamant. If you have already unlocked the surface worlds and gained the skill to traverse the area without receiving damage, it makes the search for Adamant in Hades 2 a little easier.
How Do You Use Adamant in Hades 2

Adamant is used to craft and upgrade the Black Coat, a Nocturnal Armament in Hades 2. You’ll need two Adamants to craft this weapon alongside two Cinder. To upgrade the Black Coat, you will need a substantial amount of Adamant. In total, 35 Adamants are needed in Hades 2, starting from unlocking and upgrading.
Outside of that, certain incantations in Hecate’s Caulrdron also require Adamant. Specifically, Eyes of Night and Darkness require two Adamants. This incantation creates the Moon Monuments and sometimes, the Unseen Sigils.
