In Donkey Kong Bananza, you get to continue Donkey Kong’s adventures in Kongo Bongo Island alongside Pauline. Along the way, you will meet new friends who require your help solving some issues. Once you reach Lagoon Layer, you will find the waterfall is blocked by a void stake. It is up to you to help fix the water shortage in Donkey Kong Bananaza, and this guide will show you how to do that.

Once you reach Lagoon Layer Sublayer 100, you will find a new material called the Boom Bomb. Using this, you will be tasked with clearing the way and creating new passages to get to the other side. After completing the Lagoon Layer Battle Challenge 1 and creating a new tunnel, you will be taken through a passage that will exit out to a waterfall.

Right at the exit is a monkey you can talk to. They will explain that the water from the falls can’t flow further because of a void stake blocking the path. You need a key to unlock the stake, but it is currently guarded by a Crockoid. Jump down into the water to confront the Crockoid. There is a block of Boom Rock right beside it, tear out a bit of the rock and toss the Boom Bomb at the Crockoid to kill it.

The key will be revealed now, just punch the creature holding it and the key will fall into an altar. Punch the altar to release the void stake, then punch the stake to reveal a hole in the floor. Jump in when you are ready to get to Sublayer 101.

You can explore the area and talk to the monkeys here, and they will tell you about the concrete pillars holding up the plug to the water supply. The first pillar will be revealed to you, and the only way to destroy it is using the Boom Bomb. Luckily, there is a Boom Rock right beside the pillar, just pull out a chunk of the rock and toss it at the first pillar.

For the second pillar, speak to the monkeys nearby and you will be shown the way to the next island. You will be given the hint to use the Orangu-Hang Highway to get up there. To make your way up the vertical slope, defeat the enemies nearby, pick up the Boom Rock, and toss it at the concrete slab. After making your way up, keep going till you find a barrel that will take you back to Sublayer 100.

Keep going and defeating enemies using the help of the boom bomb. You will soon find a large mountain that is unclimbable right now. Use the Boom Bomb to break the concrete slabs around the mountain, then get up and defeat the void stake. A hole will appear on the floor, take it to reach Orangu-Hang Highway.

The path through the highway is quite linear. Don’t forget to punch the rope cable nearby so you can use it to get back up if you fall. Continue through the Highway till you spot the second pillar. The Boom Rock nearby is protected by an enemy. You can ignore them and just pull out the chunk of the Boom Bomb when it appears and toss it at the second pillar, thus, releasing more water.

Jump down to the platform below to reach the court of the Kong Elder. You don’t have to speak to them right now, as you need to destroy the last pillar and get the water flowing. Make your way around the Kong Elder by heading left and go further left past the fishing monkey. You will spot three Boom Rocks, but two of them are fakes. They will turn into enemies when you get close. Defeat them and pick up the right Boom Rock and toss it at the last pillar nearby to complete the task.
