Hades 2 launched into early access on May 6, and the game has been received quite well by the gaming community; with the game already sitting on top of active player count on Steam. However; the game being still a work in progress; you may face issues like game crashing – possibly in the middle of a tense fight that you are just about to win. In order to prevent such issues that might lead to a lot of game progress being reversed, we have put up ways to fix Hades 2 crashing issues
How To Fix Hades 2 Crashing Issues
- Install Graphic Tools on your PC by performing the following steps
- Open the Settings tab and click on System, and scroll down or search for the ‘Optional features’ tab
- Search for ‘graphic tools’ under Added features, and if you find an entry, then you can move to the next step
- In case there is a message ‘No features found’ ; click on ‘Add an optional feature’ and select ‘Graphic Tools’ and click Add.
- Now, disable all overlays from Steam / GeForce
- Go to Hades 2 in your Steam Library, right-click and select ‘Properties’, and then ‘Launch Options’ with an input field
- Copy and paste the following into the input field : /DebugApiValidation=true
- Go back and launch the game and check if everything works fine without any game crashes. If that is the case, perform the above steps and remove the above entry from the input field.
- If after this the problem still persists, send an e-mail to support@supergiantgames.com with the following files
- For Windows users : use DxDiag
- Hades 2 log which can be found at the following location: \%USERPROFILE%\Saved Games\Hades II\Hades II.log
The above steps have been detailed out by the game devs, and should help get the problem fixed. In case this does not help, you can try from the below options which could help solve the Hades 2 crashing issue
Update Graphic Drivers
Check with your Nvidia or AMD homepage to confirm that you have the most recent graphics drivers installed – quite a few times this is the cause for game crashes and it helps if you keep your graphics drivers updated at all times
Compatibility Mode
Try running the game in Compatibility Mode – this can be done by right-clicking on the game, going to Properties, then Compatibility tab and checking the ‘Allow compatibility mode’ option
Disable Anti-virus
In the off-chance that the anti-virus is causing some issues in the game running smoothly, try disabling the anti-virus and running the game to see if it helps. In case it does or does not, do remember to turn the anti-virus on after you have played the game
Hopefully, one of the above would have helped get you going on the game without any bugs or crashes to spoil your gameplay experience.
