Dinkum’s newest update rolls out features like meeting new villagers, building new structures, and having a whole new creative mode. You can also collect some new weapons, and one of them is the Battle Fish. This unique weapon looks like a handheld swordfish that can be swung around to deal damage. Obtaining this weapon is not easy, and you need to be a bit more daring before you can go out to collect the Battle Fish. This guide will explain how you can get the Battle Fish in Dinkum.
How To Get The Battle Fish In Dinkum

You have a chance of getting the Battle Fish when reeling in sharks with an Iron Fishing Rod. While there are other types of fishing rods that you can get in the game, getting the Battle Fish requires the Iron Fishing Rod.
You can get the Iron Fishing Rod after getting Fishing License Level 3, after which you need to combine the Copper Fishing Rod with 2 Iron Bars at the crafting table to get an Iron Fishing Rod. Your next task is to find and capture Sharks for a chance to get the Battle Fish.
How To Catch Sharks
Now that you are properly equipped, head over to either the northern or southern ocean to find Sharks. Sharks are quite common to find, so you won’t have a hard time here. You can use a boat to sail deep into the waters, or stay on land to find them. When you spot a Shark, quickly use your Iron Fishing Rod to reel them in and drag it to land or your boat, where it can get momentarily stunned.

If you are having a hard time trying to reel in Sharks, use Fishing buff consumables like Jelly Brew to increase your chances of getting Sharks to you. To successfully reel in a shark, wait till they stop moving and don’t shake their head anymore. Then, quickly pull them in till it starts moving again, and repeat this process. Once you have stunned the shark, look around to see if you notice any sparkly drop. If not, release it back into the water and reel it in again.
Keep doing this a couple of times till you notice a sparkly drop around the shark, indicating that it has dropped a loot. Quickly pick it up, and you will get the Battle Fish. Since this weapon drop depends on RNG, you might have to try a couple of times till you are successful. Equipping and using the Battle Fish will give you 14 Attack Buff, and can be sold for 125,000 Gold.
