How to Find Keys in Abyssus

Since Abyssus focuses on dungeon exploration, you will come across locked chests or doors that hold secrets within. Like in most RPG games, you need to locate the right keys to unlock these doors and chests, but you won’t always come across keys during your journey. There are a few tips to try and make your search easier, and this guide will explain how to find more keys in Abyssus.

There are two ways to get keys in Abyssus: either by purchasing from merchants or from unlocked chests. If dealing with merchants, you will require an adequate amount of gold to help purchase keys. Gold is a rare resource that occasionally drops from killing enemies, searching chests, or breaking golden vases. Locating chests containing keys is even harder to do, as chests spawn occasionally and also drop keys very rarely.

The best way to get keys is to head over to the Soul Wheel at the start of your run and unlock the Tier 2 Starting Funds perk. You will require Soul Fragments to unlock it, so farm as many as you can before you get the perk. With this, you start your run with 1x key and 50x gold, and this perk is upgradable once more to give you 2x keys. If grinding for Soul Fragments takes a while, then team up with other players and start hunting down chests faster to increase your chances of getting keys.

Keys are used to unlock any locked chest or vault doors during your exploration. Once you get a key in hand, store it away till you find a chest or door that requires it. Walk up to the door or chest and press E to interact with it. You will end up using a key from your inventory to unlock the chest or door, allowing you to enter the newly opened room or explore the contents of the chest.

One thing to note is that if you are dead or have completed the run, you will lose your keys. It is best to use up any key that you currently have in stock and get rid of them before you face the inevitable. Using keys will unlock chests and doors for the rest of your team as well, and your teammates will collect varying rewards from within. If the vaults contain chests, these chests will be available to loot for all players in your team.

Unlocking vaults and chests is a great way to get new weapons or rare gear in Abyssus, so try your luck in unlocking as many vaults and chests as you can.
