V Rising has all the trappings of leading a proper vampiric life – castles included. Little wonder that this game has seen a steady number of players on Steam. The game has a lot of mechanics – collecting resources for your castle being one of them. However, one question that may come to you after having played this game and filling out the castle is – can you expand vertically? And the answer is yes! You can build a second floor in V Rising, and this guide will tell you exactly how to go about it.

V Rising : How To Build A Second Floor

Build a staircase in a finished or under-construction room and then put Foundation Tiles from the point where the staircase ends to build a second floor in V Rising. Complete the second floor construction then by adding Castle Walls or Castle Window Walls (10 * Stone Bricks, 6 * Planks)

You can construct any of the 4 types of Staircases available in the game, and they consume different number of Stone Bricks:

    • Straight Stairs – 12 * Stone Bricks
    • L-Shaped Left Stairs / L-Shaped Right Stairs – 18* Stone Bricks
    • Double Stairs – 24 * Stone Bricks

Once the Staircase is complete, when you walk to the upper end of the staircase, you will see the roof of your castle. Start constructing Foundation Tiles, and you will see the second floor taking shape. Keep laying Foundation Tiles, and then Castle Walls to close off the area, and have the roof re-appear, now over the second floor instead of the first.

And that is everything on how to build a second floor in V Rising. With your castle done, you may want to then want some human servants to do work for you. In that case, do check out our other guide on how to send Servants on missions in V Rising
