When you are playing a game as extensive as Satisfactory, you want all the necessary material right off the start. One of the key components for Satisfactory is the Reinforced Iron Plates. When you are starting the game, you will need a lot of Iron Plates to get the process moving to Tier 2. Reinforced Iron Plates will help us with Conveyor Lift Mk.2 (Reinforced Iron Plate x2), Conveyor Belt Mk.2 (Reinforced Iron Plate x1), and many more later items in the game.
Guide To Build A Reinforced Iron Plate Factory In Satisfactory
You will get the option to start making Reinforced Iron Plates when you get to the HUB upgrade 3, it will cost you around Iron Plate x 20, Iron Rod x 20, and Wire x 20. Once you have enough of these materials you will get to HUB upgrade level 3. Getting to the HUB LV3 will unlock Concrete, Screw, and lastly Reinforced Iron Plate.
It can get a bit complicated to follow all the stuff you need to know to churn out the Reinforced Iron Plates. but we have simplified the bits to help you understand the basis of the model easily.
To create Reinforced Iron Plates, we must set up an Assembler. It will turn Screws and Iron Plates into Reinforced Iron Plates. For a proper workflow, we need to connect two conveyor belts to the Assembler, one belt delivers a steady supply of Screws, and the other Iron Plates.
- Reinforced Iron Plate requires Iron Plates and Screws. When you make it to the HUB Lv3, you will probably have access to Iron Plate. The only focus here is the Screws since it’s the new item on the menu.
- First, we have to set up a Smelter to turn the Iron Ore into Iron Ignot. A Smelter will produce around 30 Iron Ingots per minute.
Screws:
- Set up a Constructor to turn the Iron Ingots into Iron Rods. A Constructor will produce around 15 Iron Rods per minute.
- After acquiring the production of Iron Rods, set up another Constructor to turn the Iron Rods into Screws.
- Option 1: You can set up two Constructors to turn the 15 Iron Rods into 60 Screws per minute.
- Option 2: The other viable option would be Overclock the Constructor to produce the same amount of screws. Overclock will save space, as you don’t have to build an additional machine, but it will take a large amount of Power Shards.
Iron Plate:
- Build an Overclocked Constructor to make Iron Plates out of Iron Ingots. And connect that line with the Assembler. Overclocked Constructor will put out 30 Iron Plates per minute.
- Important Note: Assembler will need 60 Screws and 30 Iron Plates per minute to create a steady supply of Reinforced Iron Plates.
Reinforced Iron Plates:
- Build an Assembler, now we need to feed it with Screws and Iron Plates.
- When the Assembler gets a steady stream of Screws on one conveyer belt, and the other Iron Plates on the other, it will produce 5 Reinforced Iron Plates per minute.
Always pay attention to your power demand, it can get heavy fast, as the next line-up of buildings will consume a lot of power, have a plan to switch to Coal Generators rather than relying way too much on Biomass Burners.
And with that, you should have a good supply of Reinforced Iron Plates in Satisfactory. In case you want to double-check if you made the right choice in terms of the starting area, we have a guide for the best starting areas in Satisfactory.
