The Into the Unjust update in Helldivers 2 now offers a new boss called the Dragonroach. If the name frightens you, then you would be baffled by the sheer monstrosity that would land near you unexpectedly. Not only does it fly overhead and drop by randomly, it also shoots green acid flames from its mouth, incinerating anything in its path. This guide will detail how to beat the Dragonroach in Helldivers 2.
All Dragonroach Attacks Explained Helldivers 2

The Dragonroach is a giant part-dragon part-roach Terminid that appears on Difficulty 5 or higher and on any planet within the Gloom ecosystem. They come at you in groups, and their attack patterns are similar to the Stingray from the Illuminate faction. Its primary attack involves spewing acidic bile, either directly at a target or in a wide area that affects multiple targets. Sometimes it does land to attack, while oftentimes it attacks by hovering overhead.
The Dragonroach is known for its insane speed and accuracy of its attacks, so this fight should not be taken lightly. If caught by the Dragonroach’s bile attack, you immediately get burn damage, which drains health rapidly till you are dead. Since its movements are unpredictable, you need to up your strategy and learn how to tackle this boss at the earliest, before things get out of hand.
How to Beat the Dragonroach in Helldivers 2

The Dragonroach’s main weaknesses are its wings, head, and mouth. For maximum impact on the head, use the Quasar Cannon, Recoilless Rifle, or any Heavy Armor Piercing weapon. I found the time after the second bile attack as the best time to attack, since the Dragonroach lowers and stays stationary briefly.
If aiming for the mouth and wings, then any mid, heavy, or light weapons work here. Liberator Assault Rifles, Heavy Machine Guns, or even the Scorcher will cause damage to its body parts. If you plan on using Stratagems, then those are best left for more stationary targets instead of mobile ones like the Dragonroach. I would also advise an exosuit – I had the Emancipator equipped, and that helped take some bite off the acid attack.
Carry a lot of Stim packs for healing, especially if you plan on standing under its line of fire to get the best aim. As with most enemies in Helldivers 2, Dragonroaches are best dealt with in a group rather than solo.
