It takes a lot of work to build a proper house, The first step is to add a proper floor. Floor planning requires an understanding of the proper height and width of each wall around the house, without making it appear small or too huge. Having a floor plan on the ground will help you easily set up the walls around the house without messing up the details. Easy Way To Create & Add Floor Plans In House Flipper 2
Here we will look into setting up a ground, a custom floor plan as a poster, and building walls on the poster to create a proper floor for the building. We have also added proper height and details of the walls to reduce the errors in building creation.
Set up the Ground:
You have the option to clean the grass and start the floor planning, or you can build a wall inward on the grass. Choose the option to Build Walls, choose Inward, and start setting up the wall on the ground. The wall will be placed on the ground horizontally to cover the grass and work as a tile on the floor.
Add the Floor Plan:
Once you have laid the ground, the next step is to set up a poster. Posters don’t have bezels or borders around them, making them appropriate compared to Pictures. Once you have selected the proper poster, choose Change Style, then select the option for Custom Picture.
- Here you will have two options to customize the picture: Built-In and User. Choose the User tab and select the floor plans for your building.
- If you don’t have any floor plans in the User section, you will see a ‘+’ option on the right panel; clicking on the + sign will allow you to add your floor plan to the library. Steam user CyberDiva has an excellent collection of Floor Plans for House Flipper 2. Grab any floor plan that fits your liking and add it to the Custom Picture. The floor plan will act as a projection of the entire room, it will serve as a blueprint to help us build the walls easily.
- Now that your custom floor plan is loaded in, the next thing you should focus on is to max the Height to 160 and Mat Size to 0. Once selected, it’s time to align the floor plan poster on the ground. We must use a Transform Tool to carry out the expansion and movement of the floor plan poster. Press Q to open up the Transform Tool Options related to the customized floor plan picture, then choose the option to resize it.
Note: The resolution of the picture in the game will not be crystal clear; it will appear blurry. We recommend that you open the floor plan on your phone or a second screen to get a better understanding of the plan. Since plans do have a porch, garage, bedroom sections, these need to be placed appropriately for it to fit on the ground.
- Choosing the Resize option will add four arrow markers around the floor plan, allowing it to expand to all four corners of the ground. Click on the arrows to stretch the picture to cover the entire ground. Make sure it covers a big area, since you are not allowed to change the thickness of the wall, a smaller plan will make everything a bit claustrophobic.
Tip: The goal here is to set up the width of the wall around 12ft. The height of the wall will fit in perfectly around 8ft.
Building Walls on a Floor Plan:
Once the floor plan is laid out, the next step is to build the walls on the black lines on the floor plan, which will serve as the position of the walls. Set up the walls around the floor plan to 8ft height and the width to 12ft. The number is perfect for any commercial house.
After the wall is built, set up the door frame and doors within the walls to create an entrance to the rooms. Here, you will have trouble fitting the door in the wall because of the floor plan poster. Use the Transform Tool to move the poster a bit higher above an 8ft wall, or just plainly remove it. Install the door on the walls, and you will be able to install it without any issue. With the poster, the doors will be in the red zone when it touches the floor.
