Wisp Thicket is another secret region among the countless in Hollow Knight: Silksong. Like the hidden Act 3, the secret locations in this Metroidvania are hidden so deeply that you wouldn’t be able to find them without help. You may have already heard about Wisp Thicket, as it’s home to the Father of the Flame boss, which is yet another secret boss. This guide will help you easily locate the secret Wisp Thicket area.
Wisp Thicket Route Guide In Silksong
The Wisp Thicket region can be reached from Greymoor in Hollow Knight: Silksong. Begin in the area shown on the map above. From here, you’ll have to begin your journey to the secret region.
Once you’ve reached Greymoor, climb up and use the platforms to glide left. Keep heading left until you come across more wooden platforms and some flying enemies. The area will be close to Bellhart.
From the wooden platforms with the flying enemies located at the left end of the area, drop down and head to the entrance to the previous location, also located on the left.
As soon as you enter the area, start climbing up with the help of the short platforms above you. When you reach the top, turn right and continue onwards to enter the next area.
In the next area, there will be a long path in front of you with a single enemy standing in your way. Avoid the enemy and keep heading right to enter the next area.
In the next area, you’ll find a few air vents. You can take the help of these air vents to climb to the top. There will be three air vents as you progress upwards. After you’ve used the third air vent, head left and enter the next area, located on the left platform.
When you’ve reached it, continue in the left direction and glide your way across until you come to another air vent. Use this air vent to head up, but keep your direction to the top left.
Use the air vents to hover up, and you’ll encounter a narrow opening that leads to the upper area. Utilize your traversal abilities, such as Swift Step (unlocked at Deep Docks) and Cling Grip, to reach the opening, then climb up and head left to enter the next area.
In the next area, keep heading left in the narrow hallway, and at the end of it, jump up and use your Wings, and pair it with Double Jump and Cling Grip to climb through an opening in the ceiling, which will take you to the next area.
In this area, head right and Pogo Jump on the red pad and climb onto the platform on the left. Avoid the red spikes that lie below. Use your Pogo Jump effectively, climb onto the next platform on the left, and continue forward to find the opening in the wall. As soon as you approach the opening, Wisp Thicket will appear on your screen, and you’ll unlock the secret area.
