Obstacles are part of Metroidvania games; you will always encounter them, and you must find a solution to eradicate them from the game. In Hollow Knight: Silksong, you will encounter webs blocking your path. Attacking them with common attacks will not do anything to them, as they will always respawn. Here, you must equip Hornet with a specific ability to break these webs and progress in Hollow Knight: Silksong.
How to Break the Webs in Hollow Knight: Silksong

The only way to break the web is by gaining the ability called the Silkspear (Bound the Silk Skill).
From the Bench available at the Marrow (Upper Level), if you jump at the platform on the right to get to the upper floor and then move right, you will come across webs trapping a creature called “Bell Beast” inside. Near the web, you will find Sherma NPC mentioning a power greater than song to break these bindings.
Now turn left and keep moving forward until you enter the Mosshome area. Make your way to the left and climb on the platforms until you reach the end of the area. Here, take the way up to get to the altar. Check the image above to see the exact spot you need to be to access the area located above.
Once you are on the upper floor, start moving to your right, and you will find the Weaver of Pharloom altar. Again, keep moving to the right, and you will find yourself on a level above the Weaver of Pharloom altar. Here, you will also see a dark interactable spot. Interacting with the object in the spot unlocks the Silkspear ability.
How Does The Silkspear Ability Work?
After you gain the skill, you can press RB on the controller to perform a powerful attack that will immediately cut through the web and clear everything out instantly, without respawning.
Performing the Silkspear will not be cheap, however, as you must have three rolls of Silk to perform it. The best way to gain Silk fast is by hitting the web with common attacks. It helps you gain Silk almost instantly compared to killing enemies.
Now you can go back to the area where you met with Sherma NPC and use the Silkspear ability to free the beast trapped in the web. You are now up for a tough boss fight, so make sure you save your game in Hollow Knight: Silksong before taking on the Bell Beast. Defeating the Bell Beast, however, opens up a key quality-of-life feature in the game, so the effort put in is well worth it.
