MachineGames’ seems to have captured real adventure in the form of a video game through their latest release of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. This thrilling game starts off with a first-person prologue set in the scene from the Raiders of the Lost Ark movie. From here, you can explore the dense jungle on your own.
One of the first things you’ll have to do in the game is to find the Blood Temple and get hold of the Golden Idol. Before you find it, there are some collectibles that you can get while you’re in the lush green forest. In this guide, we’ll be breaking down all of the interesting collectibles locations and how to get them safely.
How To Get All 4 Collectibles In The Blood Temple
There are 4 collectibles to find in the prologue area for Indiana Jones & The Great Circle:
- Warrior of the Clouds book
- Chachapoyan Urn
- Chachapoyan Vase
- Stone Mace Head

Warrior Of The Clouds Book (Optional)
Once the game starts, go down the path in front of you until you come across an incline. Go to the right side where there’ll be a thick jungle bush. You’ll have to interact with it, causing one of those guides to move them for you. They’ll run away screaming when they spot a stone carving. Keep going forward from the Stone structure and you’ll find yourself near a stream. Go upstream and there below the tent will be your first collectible, a book left in the remains of Forrestall’s campsite.
Chachapoyan Urn
For this artifact, go towards the left side of the murky lake. Jump over the large boulders, keep going forward and then take a left into the ruins. You’ll find a small urn on the ground. This is the Chachapoyan Urn which is a beautifully crafted piece of pottery used as a burial item.
Chachapoyan Vase
From the same position that we start off near the murky lake, go right towards the trees instead. Keep going forward until you see a stone structure fully covered with vines. The Chachapoyan Vase will be hidden in the farthest structure, right below the plants next to the boulder.
Stone Mace Head
This artifact can be found near the previous location. From the stone structures, try to find the stone stairs. They are right next to one of those structures covered with vines. After you climb the stairs, there will be another stone brick structure on your left that you can go inside of. You’ll find the Stone Mace Head sitting on a rock. It’ll be a rare 7-pointed Stone Mace Head
How To Solve The Golden Idol Puzzle In Indiana Jones & The Great Circle
The Golden Idol puzzle involves identifying the right set of tiles on the floor, which you can safely approach and land on, as you move towards the idol in the middle of it all. But before you can solve it, follow the below steps to reach this location
Like in the movie, the Golden Idol is the main collectible/item to find and progress in the story. From the location of Forrestall’s book, keep following the trail with the Peruvian guides. You’ll come across a tree with a dart at its base. Inspect it and then continue on the path. After lifting a fallen branch and taking the final piece of the map from Satipo, you’ll see that Barranca, one of the other guides, will try to take it from you.
Follow the game’s tutorial and head over to the Chachapoyan Temple along with one of the only guides left with you. There are many traps in this temple, so stay alert. Once you find the next area of the cave, use your whip to move over the huge gap. Then you’ll come into the room of the Golden Idol, where another trap awaits you and Satipo.
The Hexagonal floor tiles are traps, wherein if you step on the wrong ones, you’ll trigger a bunch of darts. The key here is to use your torch to press down on the tiles that have a circle drawn on them. See if the next row of tiles are receding, and if they do, slowly crouch and move towards the next stone tile with a circle.
After this, you’ll be face to face with the Golden Idol, but taking it will trigger a new trap that you can’t stop. Just rush outside along with Satipo, and avoid the darts. Satipo will eventually leave you, so you have to save yourself after giving the Golden Idol to him. This completes the first opening mission of the game.
