The Abandoned Village in Ragnarok has a fair share of rewards and treasures with the touch of some complicated puzzles. After cleaning out enemies you will come across a location filled with Blue Poisonous Gas. You must clear out the poison wall first to get to the next area. Here’s a guide to clear out the Blue Poisonous Gas in Vanaheim.

Guide To Clearing Blue Poisonous Gas In Vanaheim

The Blue Poisonous Gas in Vanaheim area in God Of War Ragnarok can be cleared by hitting a purple colored flower, which is the source of the fumes with your Leviathan Axe. While it may look complicated, the solution is easy and simple to do.

    • When you arrive at any area with Blue Poisonous Gas blocking your path, the first thing you should do is to look for a Purple flower around it.

    • The location of the flowers creating the toxic fog is always behind the Poisonous Gas or Fog wall. They are easy to notice, as the appearance of the flowers is unique compared to the rest of the environment. The purple orbs-like object on the top of the tree is the usual sign of these flowers.
    • Once you have found the flower, use your Leviathan Axe, and throw it at the flowers. Make sure the axe reaches the top of the flower, where the purple balls or orbs are, if you hit any other part of the flower, the poison will stay on.
    • When the Leviathan Axe lands on the flower, it will start freezing the orbs, stopping the flow of the Blue Poisonous Gas from spilling onto the ground.

That’s it, you can now get past any path covered with Blue Poisonous Gas. If you come across any Blue Poisonous Fog wall in the Abandon Village area, you must freeze the flowers to shut off the poison wall. The first wall will be much easier to solve, as it will have the flower out in the open, right behind the first blockade, to serve as a tutorial.

But in the later sections, you have to move around a bit to find it. Within some puzzles, you will have to use Sigil Arrows on objects to make the Frost effect last longer. Later puzzles will get more complicated with two or more flowers instead of one typical flower creating the Blue Poison Wall; and will require timing or positioning oneself better, but the fundamental method remains unchanged.

A similar obstacle that you may come across in early game are the red-coloured heavy vines which cover up a lot of enticing treasure chests. However, you will have to wait a while to get a way to destroy them – do read our guide here on exactly when and how can you destroy the red-colored heavy vines in God Of War Ragnarok.
