Helldivers 2 will have you and your teammates take up missions and go on a bug hunting spree, armed with various weapons that can unleash destruction. One such weapon in Helldivers 2 are Hellbombs. However, these are not available for all missions and also even within those missions are not available right at the beginning. How To Get Hellbombs In Helldivers 2
The Hellbomb Stratagem in Helldivers 2 unlocks only during specific mission types like destroying research bases, stockpiled ammunition and fuel reserves, sabotage supply bases and so on. In a few cases, you may also come across undetonated Hellbombs from earlier missions that did not exactly pan out well. In such cases, be sure to fire from a safe distance – the AOE damage from these covers a large radius.
How To Use Hellbombs In Helldivers 2
When you are in specific missions in Helldivers 2, and close to your specific objective, only then will the Hellbomb Stratagem appear on the top left of your screen. Once that is activated, enter the following code : Down, Up, Left, Down, Up, Right, Down, Up). A pod with the Hellbomb will then drop at that location, and will require you to activate – it is not an automatic strike.
In order to activate a Hellbomb, approach it and enter the following code: Up, Down, Down, Left, Left, Down. The Hellbomb will start beeping – which is your signal to run as fast as you can away from the Hellbomb, and in around 8-10 seconds the Hellbomb will explode, destroying everything around it. If the target is still standing, it means you did not get the location for calling in the Hellbomb right – don’t worry; you can call in another Hellbomb after some time interval.
