With the Milepost Zero update, you can utilize some new features added to Fallout 76. You can now operate a caravan as part of the Blue Ridge Caravan Company, and you can pick up some new gear and weapons around the various locations. The newest weapon you can pick up is the V63 Laser Carbine, a highly anticipated one since it uses up nuclear energy from the fusion cells to fire it up, rather than the usual electricity that most weapons have.

In this guide we have detailed out all the steps required to unlock the V63 Laser Carbine in Fallout 76. Do note that you should have the Milepost Zero update to unlock this weapon

How To Get The V63 Laser Carbine In Fallout 76

You need to complete the Unconventional Weaponry side quest within the Milepost Zero update to unlock the V63 Laser Carbine weapon plan. This is a new side quest you can pick up from Theodore at Milepost Zero. But you need to unlock and upgrade Theo first, and below are all the steps to start and complete the Unconventional Weaponry side quest in Fallout 76.

    • After your first caravan ride, talk to Marley and tell her that you need to hire more help.
    • This will unlock the first hire, Brahmin Tamer Josie.
    • Operate your caravan and collect 150 Supplies. You can achieve this by sending out three large caravans.
    • Speak to Marley again and ask her to hire more help, which will unlock Theodore the Ammo Merchant.
    • Exhaust all dialog options with Theodore and complete 5 large caravan trips.
    • You should get a total of 250 supplies from this trip.
    • Speak to Marley and you will get an option to send supplies to someone.
    • When you select it, you can find Theo’s name in the drop down box.
    • Investing 250 supplies on Theo will upgrade him to Tier 2.
    • After handing over the supplies, speak to Theo and he will talk about Vault-Tec.
    • Speak to him again after the initial conversation and continue on the topic of Vault-Tec.
