Like all good rogue-likes, and this easily promises to be one of the very best, the fun in Hades 2 is to keep doing runs to gather materials, weapons and slowly see Melinoe (the protagonist in the game) grow stronger and stronger, till you are simply shredding through enemies that looked daunting when you encountered them first in the game. One such crafting material that aids the run is Cinder, and in this article we look at what is the easiest way to get and use Cinder in Hades 2
How To Get Cinder In Hades 2
The one, and only way to get Cinder In Hades 2 is defeating Hecate, the first boss you come across at the very end of Erebus, your first region in the game. This will come as a guaranteed drop in each of the runs, so, to accumulate more than one Cinder, just go back to the starting area for another run, defeat Hekate and get that precious Cinder.
How To Use Cinder In Hades 2
Cinder is used in Hades 2 for unlocking Umbral Flames – which shoots off ranged fire projectiles. Keep in mind, you will need 3 Cinder and 3 Silver for the weapon. Alternatively, Cinder is also used to upgrade Aspect of Melinoe of the Umbral Flames, which increases the duration of Omega Special. There are 4 levels for the Aspect of Melinoe, and you will need a total of 9 Cinder and 9 Silver to unlock all of them.
