It has become a series tradition to see Co-Op feature in Dying Light games. Dying Light: The Beast has also added the fan-favorite Co-Op functionality in the game. The game doesn’t feature any complex settings to turn on the system, but you must complete certain objectives to enable it in the game. Here we will take a look at how to play Dying Light: The Beast with friends.
How To Play Dying Light: The Beast With Friends?

Here are the requirements that you must meet to unlock the Co-Op feature to play with your friends:
- Complete the second mission, Safe Haven. The mission unlocks stash, docket codes, and sleeping. Without unlocking the mission, the Co-Op mode on the Pause menu will stay locked.
- You can start playing the Co-Op (4 Player) in Dying Light: The Beast from Life After Life Story Mission. This mission unlocks after you complete the Safe Haven mission.
Getting to this stage will not take you a long time; expect to spend around an hour to get to the end of the mission. The game will also prompt you towards the fact that Co-op is now unlocked by asking you to open your inventory to open the Co-Op Menu.
Note: Dying Light: The Beast, unlike Dying Light 2, allows you to carry your save progression among all players. You can team up with three players to complete main and side quests, events, and other objectives in the game.
How to Join Dying Light: The Beast

First, pause the game via the ESC key, and then choose the Co-Op option under the Resume settings.
- Here you will come across 5 options: Party/ Public Games/ Favorites/ Friends/ Online Options.
Party: Here, you will see three options at the bottom-left of the screen: S to start a “Call for Help” and F to “Invite to Game”.
- Press F to invite your friends; the maximum number of friends is limited to 4, just like in previous Dying Light games.
- You can hold S to start Call for Help; the game will invite another player who answers your call. This feature has been a core part of the Dying Light game ever since the first release.
Public Games: If you want to drop into a session of another player, choose Public Games, and you will join it right away. If you don’t like your current matchmaking, then Press C to refresh.
Online Option: Here, you will see the online game privacy settings, voice chat, text chat, and other multiplayer-related settings.
Does Dying Light: The Beast Support Crossplay?
A hard no, you can’t play with your friends from consoles on your PC. But you can play with friends from Epic or Steam without any issue. If you want to play with your friends over at Epic, then you must sign in to your Epic Games account to start the crossplay. You will not see your friends in the game unless you have both an Epic and a Steam account connected or linked together.
The good news is the franchise director, Tymon Smektala, has given us some signs of adding the Crossplay into Dying Light: The Beast in the near future, but on the release date. So we might see the feature going live in the next couple of months.
