Dune Awakening – CHOAM Salvage Rights Event Guide

The new CHOAM Salvage Rights global event is now live, which will keep players occupied for quite a while before the next big update in Dune: Awakening. The event features a new vendor and new items to purchase, but before you get to that, you need to complete some of the event’s quests. This guide will explain how the CHOAM event works in Dune Awakening.

How to Start CHOAM Salvage Rights Event in Dune Awakening

To start the CHOAM event, visit the contracts board at either the Anvil Tradepost or Pinnacle Tradepost in Hagga Basin and speak to the CHOAM representatives here. The Anvil Tradepost is located at Eastern Vermillius Gap, while the Pinnacle Tradespost is found at Jabal Eifrit Al-gharb.

Once you step into the tradeposts, head straight to the contract board to find a new NPC. These NPCs will have a white hologram around them. Speaking to them will unlock new quests for the CHOAM event, and there are three contracts to complete. Let’s take a look at all the contracts and how to complete them below.

    Retrieve CHOAM Cargo

There are two ways to retrieve CHOAM Cargo: either by investigating fallen cargo freighters or by clearing out the new enemy gun emplacements and searching around for loot. Using your Ornithopter, fly over Hagga Basin and search the area for any newly fallen cargo ships or random gun encampments. Drop down to these locations and take out any enemies around, then investigate the corpses or inside the cargo or bases to find CHOAM Cargo.

    Sabotage Kirab Placements

While still flying overhead, you would have spotted the new Kirab turrets shooting up at the sky. These turrets spawn randomly around Hagga Basin, and are easily spotted by checking the sky for singular beams shooting upwards. Head over to these turrets and take out the enemies at the base, then disable the turret to complete the contract.

    Make Them Pay

Kill 25 Kirabs found within the newer gun emplacements. Kirabs usually populate the Eastern and Western Vermillius Gap areas. Head over there and just keep killing as many Kirabs as you come across to complete this objective.

    CHOAM Salvage Event: Rewards

Return to the CHOAM NPC after completing each contract to receive 150 XP and 4,500 Solari per contract completed. Besides this, you also get to turn in any CHOAM cargo collected by scavenging the newly fallen freighters or from enemies to this NPC, and get the following rewards.

    CHOAM Cargo AmountReward

    25 CargoCHOAM Tech SMG Variant
