The ending of Chapter 3 ends with the toughest decision I had to make in the game so far, letting go of either the beloved bat Sonar or the Batman-like Coupé from the group. The decision is difficult, and there is no other way around it. So, should you fire Coupé or Sonar from the group in Dispatch Chapter 3?
Firing Coupé

When you fire Coupé, the news will catch her off guard, as she was thinking it would be Invisigal’s turn to get fired from the team. That’s why she will say But I cheered for Invisigal when she caught Lightningstruck. She will not take the news kindly, as she will throw one of her blades at the table, clearly sending a loud, violent message. From this point, Coupé is off the team, and we might encounter her on the other side.
Reward: You will unlock an achievement: “But I Cheered for Invisigal”.
Consequences: Lose Coupé from the group, making her a possible enemy.
- When you cut off Coupé, you will not be able to send Punch Up. He will refuse to partake in most Dispatch missions in Chapter 4 and will go offline quickly because of Coupé’s firing.
Note: Coupé will remember this decision, so will Sonar.
Firing Sonar
Sonar will also get the same reaction from Sonar as Coupé, as he also believed that Invisigal was supposed to get fired from the team. Here you will see a neat little animation of Sonar tearing out of his blue suit, turning into a rampaging bat. He will threaten you and leave the office with his tie fallen on the floor. Robert will pick up Sonar’s tie and pin it to the wall.
Reward: You will unlock the achievement “Watch Your Back, Robert.”
Consequences: Lose Sonar and might make him an active threat in the later chapters.
- When you cut off Sonar, you will not be able to send Malevola in the Cha’ad Cult Dispatch mission in Chapter 4. She will refuse to most missions in the first Dispatch scene in Chapter 4 and will go offline quickly because of Sonar’s firing.
Note: Unlike the first choice, here only Sonar will remember the decision, but not Coupé.
The only difference in the cutscene of both firings is when I fired Sonar from the ground; the cutscene ended in a comic skit at the end, ending in a playful manner. But when I fired Coupé, she was angry till the end of the cutscene, rightfully so. Another interesting thing happens at the end, when you fire Sonar, Coupé doesn’t remember this action. Which might not seem like a lot, maybe it will lead to some branching storylines in the future.
At this point, it is difficult to tell. Personally, I went with Sonar because I decided to upgrade the Coupé in the Dispatch missions. While both of them had interesting characters, I was more reliant on sending Coupé to complete most missions than Sonar. In the end, the decision comes down to which hero you enjoyed the most via gameplay and in the cutscene banter; just like which character do you choose to romance at the end of Chapter 4.
