Cult of the Lamb, the part roguelike, part management sim game from Devolver Digital, lets you construct a variety of buildings. While some are pretty straightforward, like the Temple or the Sleeping Tents, there are structures like the Demonic Summoning Circle that’ll leave you scratching your head wondering what’s what. But don’t worry; we’ve got you covered.

In this guide, we’ll dissect everything there’s to know about how to use the Demonic Summoning circle, how to upgrade it, and how it works. Let’s get started.

How To Unlock The Demonic Summoning Circle

The Demonic Summoning Circle is a special building in Cult of the Lamb that is unlocked via the Divine Inspiration tree. You need to unlock the second tier of your cult. Once that’s done, you need to unlock the Farm Plot and Missionary to get the option to unlock the Demonic Summoning Circle.

Building the base Demonic Summoning Circle costs the following resources:

    • 20x Coin
    • 10x Stone
    • 5x Lumber

It also takes up 3×3 tile space on your Enclave.

Once you unlock this structure, you can craft it using the Build menu. Like other structures, your Followers will come to help you out.

After constructing the building, when you stand over it, you’ll get the prompt to Summon Demon. Left-clicking on your mouse will bring up a new window where you’ll need to choose a Follower to turn them into a Demon.

Different Followers have different effects. For example, some followers will deal bonus damage, while others will give you a higher chance to get health drops on Crusades. After you turn them into a Demon, you can bring them along with you on Crusades. Also, keep in mind – converting a Follower into a Demon and taking them on a Crusade will not make them die – once you return you will find the Follower in his original form.

How To Upgrade The Demonic Summoning Circle

To upgrade the Demonic Summoning Circle, you’ll need to first get to higher tiers in your Divine Inspiration tree. Any Follower that you have converted to a Demon will revert back to their normal form when you upgrade this structure.

Upgrading the Demonic Summoning Circle to level 2 will allow you to bring 2 Demons on your Crusades. It will cost the following resources:

    • 4x Gold Bars
    • 3x Stone Blocks
    • 1x Wooden Plank

You can also upgrade it to level 3 if you want to bring 3 followers, but the material cost also increases for this upgrade. Here are the resources you’ll need:

    • 15x Spider Silk
    • 6x Gold Bars
    • 5x Stone Blocks

And there you have it! Now that you know all about the Demonic Summoning Circle, why not check out our other guide on How to Heal in Cult of the Lamb?
