Dead by Daylight: Complete Prestige System Explained (& Rewards)

The Prestige system is a huge integral part of Dead by Daylight that keeps players coming back to level up. Here, we are going to take a look at the entire Prestige System and how you can farm Prestige for Dead by Daylight.

What is the Prestige System in Dead by Daylight?

Dead by Daylight’s Prestige system unlocks new perks, charms, and cosmetics for the characters.

The Prestige system allows you to Prestige a character once the character reaches Bloodweb level 51. Prestige a character will rank them to Prestige +1; at the same time, the Bloodweb level will reset back to Level 1 from 51. You must again make the character reach Bloodweb level 51 to Prestige the character again. The maximum limit to Prestige is set to 100. This system becomes important especially when trying to play as Survivor in DBD.

You will get the option to Prestige a character by spending 20,000 Bloodpoints, but again, only after Bloodweb Level 51. The Bloodweb level is the only thing you will lose after you Prestige a character; you will get to keep unlocked perks, items, add-ons, offerings, and cosmetics.

    All Prestige Rewards and Unlocks

Here are all the unlock rewards tied to the Prestige level:

    Prestige Unlock or Rewards
Prestige 1Tier-1 perks for all characters and automatically add them to the inventories.
Prestige 2Unlock Tier-2 Perks on all characters.
Prestige 3Unlock Tier-3 Perks on all characters.
Prestige 4Unlock blood-stained cosmetic pieces: Torso for survivor and Weapon for killer.
Prestige 5Unlocks second blood-stained cosmetics: Legs for survivor and Body for killer.
Prestige 6Unlocks third blood-stained cosmetic piece: Head for survivor and Head/Mask for killer.
Prestige 7Unlocks the first perk charm.
Prestige 8Unlocks the second perk charm.
Prestige 9Unlocks the third perk charm.

Reaching Prestige 9 ends all the rewards; once you go beyond that number, it’s to showcase the Prestige number to others. You will get no reward from reaching Prestige 10 to Prestige 100 (Max).

Farming Bloodpoints to Increase Prestige Level

Here are some of the ways you can grind Bloodpoints to increase the Prestige in Dead by Daylight.

    • Dead by Daylight offers daily log-in rewards and codes that allow you to gain plenty of Bloodpoints. There are many websites, Twitter, and Reddit threads that cover the codes and login reward details.
    • On the main menu of Dead by Daylight, you will see Bonus Bloodpoints next to Play as Survivor or Killer. Play the role to earn the bonus amount of Bloodpoints.
    • Complete Daily Rituals, limited to three per day. Completing them will give you a good amount of Bloodpoints. You can always reroll to get better ritual challenges.
    • Finishing Rift challenges also earns you Bloodpoints.
    • Always play with friends to get a good number of Bloodpoints instead of Solo.

The Prestige System is for sure one of the key mechanics that pays to master in DBD.
