Pokémon Legends: Z-A has a Day-Night cycle to add more variety to the game world. The system of the Day-Night cycle separates two core concepts of the Pokémon game: battling other Pokémon and hunting for Pokémon. Here we will cover all the details about the Day-Night cycle in Pokémon Legends: Z-A.

In Pokémon Legends: Z-A, you can pass the time by resting at any bench. Just head to any bench you see out in the open, and sitting on it will change the time from daytime to nighttime and vice versa. The passing of time happens instantaneously in the game, and you will get a good overview screen of the area when the resting scene plays out.

The most natural way to pass the time in the game world is by completing a full Day-Night cycle; it takes around real-time 30 minutes. So, 15 minutes to move from day to night, and then another 15 minutes from night to day. Participate in battle or hunt some Pokémon to pass the time in the game naturally.

Daytime is perfect for catching Pokémon in the area. You will find a number of them in the streets or on any corner. In short, save the daytime hours for Pokémon hunting. Once the sun sets, some of the areas will turn into a battlefield for Z-A Royale. Night serves as a great time to increase your rank from Z to A, as you will battle with trainers to get your rank up.

    • Daytime – Hunting Pokémon in the game.
    • Nighttime– Battling other Pokémon trainers to level up the rank.

Put your Pokémon to the test at night and save the hunting in daytime for the adventure in Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Do ensure that you learn the Rock Smash skills to allow exploring and accessing secret areas in Lumiose City.
