The Four Bishops in the Cult Of The Lamb are the creators of the Old Faith and the last remaining Gods. The lore between them and The One Who Waits is quite an interesting one – as The One Who Waits before being sealed by them was one of the Bishops. You will come across these Bishops as you Crusade in their Lands, and every time you come across one of them; you will be given an option to bow or refuse. Should You Bow Or Refuse In Cult Of The Lamb?
Heket, Kallamar, Leshy, and Shamura are the four Bishops in the game that you come across in the opening scene itself. By sacrificing the Lamb, they give the One Who Waits access to the Lamb; and so begins the main story in Cult Of The Lamb. In the Cursed Lands ruled by them, the Bishops will appear to threaten you with the promise to show mercy if you bow before them. At this point, the option to either Bow or Refuse will appear in front of you.
What Happens If You Bow To The Bishops In Cult Of The Lamb?
If you bow in front of the Bishops, you lose 20 Faith. As a Leader, having the followers see you bow to any of the four Bishops, against whom you have launched Crusades in their Cursed Lands is never a good thing, and predictably your followers will respect you less for doing so. It will take quite a few sermons to knock that amount of Faith lost back into your Followers.
What Happens If You Refuse To Bow To The Bishops In Cult Of The Lamb?
If you refuse, the swarm of enemies that come at you after that becomes harder, and all the paths/scenarios ahead turn into battle paths only. The Bishops consider it an affront that you refused to acknowledge their supremacy. Shamura, for e.g.; responds to your refusal to bow by saying this: “A wolf disguised as a lamb. Very well. War is one of my domains too”. They will also try to corrupt your followers.
So there you have it … either refuse, and make the subsequent combat challenge tough, or bow and then work on recovering the big dip in Faith among your followers.
