Released on November 8, 2025, the Merge Madness update brings a whole lot of changes to Plants vs Brainrots. There is a way to get new types of Plants and Brainrots via fusion. Also, there is a new biome, new storyline missions, and 12 new Brainrots in this update. To learn everything about this update, read below.
Plants vs Brainrots How to use Mutation Machine in Merge Madness Update
Present on the Central Island, use the Mutation Machine to combine two units of the same Plants or Brainrots to get a different mutation. This machine adds a whole new set of Plants and Brainrots you can unlock. For example, you can combine Frozen La Tomatoro with Neon La Tomatoro to gain an entirely new mutation for La Tomatoro that has the powers of both effects.
To successfully use the Mutation Machine:
- Travel to the Central Island where the Mutation Machine is located beside the Plant Extractor and the EXP Machine.
- Insert two units of the same Plant or Brainrot type that have different mutations into the two slots.
- Add 300 EXP using bottles, vials, or flasks obtained from the Plant Extractor by converting unwanted plants.
- Press Mix to start the merging process once all materials and EXP are in place.
- Wait for the process to finish. The duration depends on the rarity of the items, but it’s twice as fast during Mutation Mania weather.
- Collect the newly fused Plant or Brainrot once the process is complete. Try to repeat merges to advance through the event reward ladder.
Using the Mutation Machine also earns you rewards during the Merge Madness update. Based on the merge count, you’ll get the following rewards:
- Merge count 1: 8.7B Cash
- Merge count 2: Three Premium Water Bucket, 8.7B Cash
- Merge count 3: One Orcalero Orcala, Three Frost Grenade
- Merge count 4: 8.7B Cash
- Merge count 5: One Sunflower Seed, Three Premium Water Bucket, Two Base Card Packs
- Merge count 6: Witch Potion
- Merge count 7: One Gangster Footera, 8.7B Cash
- Merge count 8: One Sunflower Seed, 8.7B Cash
- Merge count 9: One Dragon Fruit Seed, One Bandito Bobrito, 8.7B Cash
- Merge count 10: 8.7B Cash
- Merge count 11: One Frost Grenade, One Orcalero Orcala
- Merge count 12-25: TBA
Once you fill the complete progress bar, you’ll gain one Dr. Flalarino and one Biohazellno Seed as final rewards.
Other Major Changes in Plants vs Brainrots Merge Madness Update
While the new Mutation Machine is the biggest change in this update, there are also other major changes in Plants vs Brainrots. A total of 12 new Brainrots are being added: two Admin Brainrots, two fused Brainrots, and eight new Brainrots. Furthermore, two new Rebirth levels, Level 10 and Level 11, are being added.
If you enjoy doing story missions, 25 new missions have been added. Upon completing these 25 missions, you’ll get a new Cherry Blossom Biome if you have unlocked the Jungle Biome. This was everything you needed to know about the latest Merge Madness update in Plants vs Brainrots.
