No, at this point, you cannot link your Dark And Darker Account to Steam. The developers as per their own FAQs are currently working on platform linking but so far it has not been implemented. In a news update put out on June 7th, this looks to be their priority plan as it has been put at the very top of planned updates. In the note, the developers have asked players who have purchased the game from the Blacksmith platform where the game was initially launched, to continue playing on this platform and be patient till the time the platform link feature is activated. This is because, the developers “feel strongly that our early adopters should not be required to re-purchase the game on another cross-play PC platform”
Hence, currently while the users have an option to download and start a new game from the Steam or Epic Store (the game is free-to-play now, so there may be players who do this); when they link it back to the Blacksmith account in the future when this option becomes available; the character created on Steam / Epic Store will get deleted. Of course, this does not matter for new players starting afresh, but for existing players the best thing to do right now is to continue playing on the Blacksmith platform and wait for the promised future update.
