As you’d expect, Cairn has plenty of trophies and achievements you can earn as you carefully climb up Mount Kami. Along with this, some of the required tasks will earn you some fancy new peices of gear in the process.
The glowing gloves are one such item, but they are not incredibly easy to come across, either. In fact, you’ll have to tackle your toughest climb in the game yet if you want to add this piece of swag to your outfit.
If you’re searching for the All That Glitters trophy/achievement in Cairn, or simply just want to switch up your look for the rest of your climb, here is how to find the Glowing Gloves.
Where Are The Glow-In-The-Dark Gloves Located?
To find the glowing gloves, you must reach The Village, which is just a few hours into Cairn. The Village is on your natural, required path of progression, so you don’t need to go out of your way to get here.
At this point in the game, map location names are only revealed when you save, so make sure you take note when you are at The Village.
Of course, your goal here is to climb up. The Glowing Gloves are found inside the second open door you’ll come across in this area. But it’s not really as easy as simply getting to this entryway.
What’s The Best Path To Reach The Gloves?
From the base of The Village area, here’s the path I took to reach the first doorway.
From here, I used the path above to make it up to the second doorway. This climb is fairly straightforward, so don’t stress this bit. As you know by now, take a second to replenish stamina on the climb if you’re having trouble.
Once inside, you’ll notice a statue. This means you’re in the right area.
Keep going in, and you’ll see this cave full of yellow crystals on the wall. You’ll need to climb up this cave wall to the ledge far above you at the back of the room.
This is much easier said than done. The wall of the cave is too hard for you to stick a piton into, so you’ll need to make this absurd climb without the aid of piton checkpoints.
Above is the path I took to reach the top, and it was not easy. At the very least, I’d recommend turning on the Fall Rewind feature here, or else you’re going to be attempting and reattempting this climb for literal hours.
Once at the top, continue on back as far as you can go, and you’ll eventually see the Glowing Gloves just waiting for you to claim them. You can also break the rocks at the back of the room to create a place to crawl out to get back outside and onto the rest of your climb up.
Do The Glow-In-The-Dark Gloves Have A Use?
So after all that, what do the Glowing Gloves actually do for you? Well… nothing. They just look cool, and your hands will now glow blue at night time. Nice!
The only actually benefit is the trophy/achievement you’ve earned for your hard work.
