The Brine Storm event has arrived with Fisch’s latest update, and it is one of the more rewarding limited-time events. This exclusive weather phenomenon allows you to access hidden fish species that exist nowhere else in the game, helping you in the process of achieving the 100% bestiary completion.
However, unlike standard weather events that trigger naturally, you must trigger the Brine Storm event by using specialized items. Keep in mind that the Brine Storm window is quite narrow, and you have to strategically plan out your expedition to catch the fish.
In the guide, we provide all the necessary details you need to know about the Brine Storm event in Fisch.
How to trigger the Brine Storm event in Fisch

To start the Brine Storm in Fisch, you need to get your hands on the Tempest Totem. You will be able to find the same in an underwater cave next to Terrapin Island at coordinates X: 36, Y: 135, Z: 1946. I advise you to be careful when you go underwater to look for the unique cave marker.
Once you have the Tempest Totem, equip it during Rainy weather. It is quite important to remember that Brine Storm only has a trigger rate of 1% every 30 seconds. Thus, you may have to wait a few minutes for it to work. When the event is active, you will receive an announcement notification. At this moment, the Brine Pool water will shift to teal, giving you exactly two minutes to fish before conditions revert to normal green water.
Finding the Brine Pool in Fisch
Coming to the Brine Pool, it is the location where you can catch the rare fish during the Brine Storm. You can find it deep within the Desolate Deep pocket dimension. You can navigate there by starting at the red buoy near Sunstone Island (Point Nemo) at coordinates X: -791, Y: 142, Z: -3102. From there, you must take the right passage at the first crossing, then left at the second crossing. If navigation proves difficult, use the direct coordinates X: -1720, Y: -175, Z: -3115.
During Brine Storm, four exclusive fish species become available:
1) Dissolved Bone
- Rarity: Trash
- Time: Day
- Bait: Magnet
2) Stormgazer
- Rarity: Legendary
- Time: Day
- Bait: Worm
3) Brine Sovereign
- Rarity: Exotic
- Time: Night
- Bait: Fish Head
4) Caustic Starwyrm
- Rarity: Secret
- Time: Night
- Bait: Truffle Worm
If Brine Storm triggers during the day, I advise you to prioritize Stormgazer fishing. In the meantime, it would be ideal to pursue Brine Sovereign and Caustic Starwyrm during nighttime activation. These four fish comprise the complete Brine Pool bestiary available only during this event window.
How to prepare for Brine Storm in Fisch
You must equip the Invincible enchantment on your rod to fish successfully during Brine Storm conditions. Alternatively, you can use specialized rods that bypass enchantment requirements entirely and let you fish in brine and lava pools naturally.
You should also note that during Brine Storm, lure speed and resilience drop to 50% of what they normally are. Because of this, I suggest that you choose rods that naturally have a high lure speed. You can always carry multiple rods with different properties, giving you a lot of overall flexibility.
