Like most building games, you have to start creating a settlement and build up your civilization. Creating a settlement from scratch can be a bit painstaking, so this guide will simplify the process for you.
How To Build A Settlement in BitCraft Online
You create a Settlement in BitCraft Online by purchasing the Writ of Settlement Foundation from Rumbagh. You can find them at Ruin Town, near the Vault, and it will cost you 5,000x Hex Coins and 10x Codex to get this item. Settlements in BitCraft Online can be created solo or with friends, but you can reach your goals much faster if you work together in a team.
Obtaining Hex Coins is easier of the two, you will automatically get it as you play the game, complete tasks, and trade at the marketplace. Getting Codex, however, is a different story. We have detailed that part out below.
How to Get Codex in BitCraft Online
You get 1x Codex in BitCraft Online by combining 5 research pages. First, you need to research all the beginner material pages from the Compendium:
- Beginner’s Stone Research
- Beginner’s Wood Research
- Beginner’s Metal Research
- Beginner’s Leather Research
- Beginner’s Cloth Research
Once you have all your starter research pages, you need to combine them with particular materials and the pages to get your Codex. The only catch here is that you can’t get all the materials in one go. Rather, each material research is tied to the 12 BitCraft professions, so you need to progress through their skill tree to unlock each one.
For example, to get the Beginner’s Wood Research, you need to take Enhanced Planks to the Scholar to get 1x Wood Research. Enhanced Wood in itself is a long task, as you need to work with the Carpenter to convert Wood Trunks into Logs and further into Planks.
Then, you need to craft the Wood Polish, combine the two items to get the finished product. Furthermore, you need to craft all 5 research pages this way. Completing all the research pages is a very long process if you play solo, and it is recommended to work together in a group.
How to Claim Land in BitCraft Online
Your next step after obtaining the Writ of Settlement Foundation is to figure out which section of the land you can claim as yours. It is best to locate an expanse of land that hasn’t been occupied by other players. One thing to keep in mind is that the larger the area of land that you own, the more the upkeep costs get.
Your next step is to build a Settlement Totem, then place it within the area you wish to claim as your own. Try to choose an area that supplies adequate resources and travel points, as these can come in handy as you work on building up your settlement.
If you think owning land and working on it is too much work, you always have the option to join settlements of other players and work alongside them to build up an Empire.
How to Build an Empire
Your next step after building a Settlement is to work on upgrading all the workbenches and buildings here, as well as expanding your land. This will require lots of research to be conducted, so you and your friends will be busy for a long time. Once you have maxed out everything and have a sizable settlement, you can join other player settlements to build an Empire.
The only things you can get by becoming an Empire are purely cosmetic, as you can display your Empire’s banners and emblems around your settlement. Besides this, you don’t get any bonus perks for your settlement, but you do get to work together to further improve your Empire.
