The Stormblade class is a dive into Iaido Slash or Moonstrike, both of which feature unique skills to create a more flashy gameplay. The class uses Thunder element to deliver the damage, a perfect choice for anyone who wants to take on the role of a DPS. Here, we are going to cover a complete Stormblade Build and Class guide in Blue Protocol Star Resonance.
Stormblade Build Overview

Choose Iaido for burst damage and Stormblade Moonstrike for dealing damage in a consistent fashion. If you prefer to use autoattack, then you must remove Iaido from the list; Moonstrike will be more up your alley. But if you want to take everything on a manual basis, then you must head with Iaido.
Stormblade Iaido Slash Build Overview
The key takeaway for Iaido Slash will remain in Thunder Sigils and Burst damage; all talent and abilities are going to be built around it. The goal is to raise the maximum Thunder Sigil cap and increase the bonus per sigil.
Stormblade Moonstrike Build Overview
Here, you will be much reliant on Haste and Luck to bring the best out of the spec. We will be focused on Thundercut and Scythe Wheel abilities to deal the most damage. Crossing the Haste threshold will allow us to multiply Thundercut more times.
Blade Intent/ Thunder Sigil
The main thing you want to focus on with the Stormblade build is Blade Intent. Make sure to generate Blade Intent to raise the attack speed of our skills for Stormblade Iaido. The same Blade Intent will also become useful with the Thundercut skill on Stormblade Moonstrike. We will also choose various talents that will help increase the Blade Intent to further amplify its usage.
Stormblade also has another unique mechanic in the name of Thunder Sigil, or sigil. On Stormblade Iaido, having more sigils will raise the attack multiplier. In the Stormblade Moonstrike case, it will help with Battle Intent, Moonstrike, and Special Abilities.
Best Skills To Level For Stormblade Class
Stormblade Iaido Spec

Our fixed skills are going to be Judgement Cut and Iaido Slash. The huge amount of damage will come from Iaido Slash. Once it evolves, it will turn into Thunder Cut. You can rely on Judgement Cut during the downtime; it will be consistent, but will not deal too much damage.
- Overdrive: A sigil generator that generates one sigil on use. We are going to be using Volt Surge to reach max sigils.
- Volt Surge: This skill will deliver the burst damage on Iaido. It also provides attack percentage, flat rate, and super armor.
- Flash Strike: You can use the Flash Strike after performing the Iaido Slashes. Flash Strike is a good sigil spender, but doesn’t come close to Iaido Slash.
Note: You can replace Flash Strike with Raijin Dash; it deals a good amount of damage, but be aware of its 25-second cooldown.
- True Sight: It will grant immunity for 2 seconds and acts as a defensive tool in our arsenal.
If you are looking to prioritize certain skills, then we recommend choosing Iaido Slash and Flash Strike, and then you use Void Surge and pop the ultimate, Oblivion Combo.
Stormblade Moonstrike Spec:

Our fixed skills for Moonstrike are going to be Judgment Cut and Moonstrike. The main damage dealer is going to the special skill Moonstrike; you will need around three sigils to activate it. Think of Moonstrike as a replacement for Iaido Slash from Stormblade Iaido spec.
- Thundercut: This will cover the majority of the damage of Moonstrike and the skill’s scaling effect linked to the attack speed. The more attack speed you have, the more hits you will get from Thundercut. You will need 50 Blade Intent to trigger it.
Note: Thundercut can be evolved to Thundercleave, but you will need the talent Moonstrike Delay for that.
- Scythe Wheel: Spawns homing blades on the ground that deal damage every two seconds; it also scales to your attack speed. While the damage is nothing to write home about, the consistency is the key winning point here.
- Stormflash: It will generate an additional 20 Blade Intent per second for the next 10 seconds.
Just need to pay attention to Thundercut, most of the damage for Moonstrike will come from this skill. Here, we must get the Stormscythe and Thundercleave talent to further amplify the damage potential and scaling of Thundercut.
Ultimate Skill: Oblivion Combo Best for Iaido and Moonstrike
Oblivion Combo deals a huge amount of AoE damage and generates sigils on the trigger. The attack also pulls enemies towards you, further enhancing the AoE attack. Perfect time to use when the Volt Surge is in the cooldown zone in Stormblade Iaido spec. And Oblivion Combo will go well with Moonstrikes.
Battle Imagine for Stormblade Build:

Battle Imagine for Stormblade Iaido Spec
Here we are going to combine Muku Chief with Phantom Arachnocrab. If you don’t have the Phantom Arachnocrab, you can replace it with Muku Scout team up. Muku Chief will deliver the passive Crit damage delivery and Crit rate. Phantom Arachnocrab will deliver the Mastery and more Mastery on use. Another excellent gold-tier Battle Imagine for Iaido will be Celestial Flier for its Haste bonus.
For purple Battle Imagines, you can think about adding Muku Scout, Brigand Scout Leader, Boarrier Tyrant, and Muku Vanguard. Muku Scout will grant 15% passive, Brigand Scout Leader will offer 10% Agility passive, and 20% temp use later on. Boarrier Tyrant will amplify your Iaido Slash damage. And lastly, we have Muku Vanguard, which will increase your Thunder damage bonus by adding 7.5% passive Thunder damage.
Battle Imagine for Stormblade Moonstrike
A combination of Muku Scout with Celestial Flier will be a perfect match. Muku Scout grants a 15% attack passive. When you activate it, it grants a 30% attack buff. Celestial Flier adds a Haste bonus for the Thundercut breakpoint, basically boosting damage. Another solid choice here will be Phantom Arachnocrab, which offers a Mastery bonus.
If you are planning to replace Muku Scout, you can think about adding: Brigand Scout Leader, which adds 10% Agility passive. Shadow Captain offers Expertise Skill damage boost. Another great choice will be Muku Vanguard, which grants a 7.5% Thunder damage passive.
Best Talent Tree for Stormblade Build

Stormblade Iaido Spec
- Iai Thunder Dance: Allows your special attack to deal double damage after three sigil generation.
- Keen Strike: Allows your basic attack to trigger Piercing Slash to deal damage, causing Overdrive to generate three sigils instead of one.
- Swift: Increase your Haste.
- Flash Frenzy Blade: After Iaido Slash, reset the cooldown on Flash Strike.
- Zen Moment: Allows us to regain Blade Intent on Crit.
- Thunder Sigil Rewind: Helps with the sigil generation
- Flash Sharp Strike: Another talent that helps with sigil generation.
- Dual Blade Intent: While at 100 Blade Intent, accelerates Flash Strike and Raijin Dash animation. Also, increase the Crit rate for both abilities and evolution by 10%.
- Dual Awareness: During Volt Surge, it raises the chance to trigger Thunder Sigil Rewind.
Stormblade Moonstrike Spec
- Keen Strike: Allows your basic attack to trigger Piercing Slash to deal damage, causing Overdrive to generate three sigils instead of one.
- Swift: Increase your Haste.
- Thunder Seed: Casting Thundercut allows you to gain two stacks of a new resource, charge seeds.
- Moonstrike Delay: After Thundercuts x5, the next one turns into Thundercleave, which deals more damage without consuming Blade Intent.
- Chaos Breaker: After activating Stormflash, gain a single use of Chaos Breaker. It deals a great deal of heavy damage and recovers your Blade Intent.
- Moonstrike Sharp Strike: All hits from Moonstrike and Chaos Breaker to land Critical hits, but only when the Blade Intent is above 50 or higher.
- Divine Sickle: Replaces your basic attack to deal a critical hit, but only temporarily.
- Lightning Flash: Scythe Wheels will not deal double the hit rate during Stormflash.
- Phantom Scythe Realm II: Thundercut regenerates Blade Intent based on the luck chance.
Rotation for Stormblade Moonstrike
First use the Scythe Wheel, then switch to the Battle Imagine, then Stormflash, and lastly start spamming Thundercut until you activate Divine Sickle. At the end of the Divine Sickle, you will completely run out of Blade Intent juice.
To recover Blade Intent, use the Moonstrike, then you can use an Oblivion Combo to gain the sigil back to execute Moonstrike again. Then you can go back to the same rhythm of triggering Stormflash to Divine Sickle.
Rotation for Stormblade Iaido
Pop any Battle Imagine, then use Volt Surge, use the sigils, and then Overdrive, then juggle between Flash Strike and Iaido Slash. If you haven’t reached the maximum sigils, then you can Overdrive to recover them. If Iaido Slash is in the cooldown mode, then resort to using Flash Strike.
Once the Volt Surge is cooling down, use the Oblivion Combo and then Judgement Cut, Overdrive, and Iaido Slash until you see Volt Surge availability.
Another great build to consider before taking a call on this is the Marksman build in BPSR. While you can also unlock a second class as you progress in the game, check our guide here on the best second class to unlock, and when you should unlock this.
