Battlefield 2042: How To Unlock Crown Slayer Weapon (Easter Egg Guide)

You get to collect a new Crown Slayer weapon skin for the RM68 and the Katabasis Player Card background by completing the new secret mission within Phantom Program in Battlefield 2042. For the mission, you need to complete an escort objective within Redacted. The steps for completing this particular Easter Egg are mentioned in detail below.

How to Complete the Phantom Program Easter Egg in Battlefield 2042

To start, create a dedicated Redacted server with the portal code AA6CJ7. Using this code allows you to play solo as well. Before you begin, set the Global Damage Multiplier to 0.1 if you continue to play solo, or let it be if you are in multiplayer. Get LIS Rocket Launcher while you are here, you will need it later.

After that, make your way to objective B1 tracked on your map while keeping an eye out for a Phantom Device on your right. While heading down the tunnel, you will spot the radio on the ground (345N). Interact with it and listen to the audio, then pick up the device once it goes off. Pressing B will bring up the radio, and pressing B again will put it back.

Follow the B1 objective to head back outside. Once you reach the southern section of the B1 objective, turn around to find a tree (189S). Use the Rocket Launcher to destroy the tree, then head up the stairs in (172S). You don’t have to enter the building, rather, get up on the railing and jump up to the rooftop. Look above to notice several grids up in the sky.

Using a Sniper Rifle equipped with an 8x scope, shoot down certain points while aiming up at the sky. The translucent grids in the sky will light up blue if you have correctly shot down all the right points. The points you need to shoot at are.

    Release the Synth

Head into the game’s menu and redeploy yourself as Rao at the A1 flag. Hack the terminal Forge (286W) within the Biological Disposal, then redeploy as Blasco at B1 to collect the Phantom Device radio again. Head back to the Forge and deploy Blasco’s device beside it, press B to bring up the Phantom Device, and use it to send a virus to the terminal.

Once the terminal has been hacked, redeploy as Falck at A1 and head back to the Forge. Interact with it to release the Synth, then follow it to the C1 flag. Along the way, keep frequently healing it, as it loses health rapidly. This is easier in multiplayer than solo, but still achievable in solo if you have your damage multiplier at the lowest setting.

    Receive the Rewards

Once the Synth reaches the elevator, don’t follow it inside. Stay back and listen to the final transmission. Completing the objective will unlock the Crown Slayer weapon skin and the Katabasis Player Card. These are usable once you head back to the main menu and search for the cosmetics in Battlefield 2042.
