Arknights Endfield: How to Create Industrial Explosives

Throughout your journeys across Talos-II, you’ll eventually find walls or obstructions with glowing red cracks. These walls are often part of puzzles with nearby explosives, but not all come with a supply of bombs.

For these aggravating cases, Arknights Endfield introduces Industrial Explosives! As an on-demand supply of firepower, Industrial Explosives allow you to craft and use explosives wherever you need. Let’s go over how to unlock, manufacture, and use them to their best!

    Unlocking Industrial Explosives

The Tech tree for Packaging in Arknights Endfield

Like plenty of useful mechanics in Endfield, Industrial Explosives are unlocked through a sidequest in the Baker Tasks menu. Offered by Andre, the quest opens with unlocking the Packaging Technology under the Processing branch of the Basic AIC Plan.

The Packaging Unit allows you to create two useful items: batteries for powering other facilities and our goal, Industrial Explosives. Industrial Explosives can only be created by the Packaging Unit when it’s powered and supplied with both Amethyst Parts and stacks of Aketine Powder.

Constructing the Packaging Unit requires 20 Amethyst Parts, which, in turn, are crafted by supplying the Fitting Unit with Amethyst Fibers. Once you’ve got your parts and have constructed the Packaging Unit, return to the Sub-PAC and place it inside the operational zone.

    Manufacturing Industrial Explosives

The next step after placing the Packaging Unit is setting it up to operate properly.

    • Place the Packaging Unit on a side of the Sub-PAC with output ports, and line the two input ports of the Packaging Unit with the corresponding ports.
    • Set up the output ports to deliver your stashed Amethyst Parts and Aketine Powder to the Packaging Unit, and select Industrial Explosive to begin the output.
    • Construct an Electric Relay for power and watch as the Packaging Unit begins to output Industrial Explosives one by one. Once you have three, you’ll move on to the next step, using them.

Pro Tip: If you want to automate the process, make sure to include a Fitting Unit to create more Amethyst Fibers, and a Shredding Unit to turn Aketine into Aketine Powder.

    How to Use Industrial Explosives

The Quick Tool menu in Arknights Endfield

Industrial Explosives are accessed through the Quick Tool menu. By holding the button, you can equip any Industrial Explosives you have in your backpack, readying them for tossing like any other explosive you’d find in the environment.

The method of equipping them makes them too clunky for fights, but you can always use them to open a fight, on top of their intended purpose of cracking open red walls that bar items and resource nodes.

With Industrial Explosives, another layer of Talos-II is yours to pull back, so go on Endmin, and claim is as your own.
