What Is The Gene Seed In Space Marine 2?
Gene Seeds are collectibles in Space Marine 2 that increase the XP gained at the end of the mission for all squad members. These are found in fixed spots during the Operations set of missions; however the spot within these fixed locations that they spawn varies during each run.
With a lot of weapon upgrades and perks tied to leveling up, every little bit of XP that you can extract during a mission helps, especially if it is just a matter of collecting it from a particular spawn location. You should definitely keep an eye out and ensure you get your hands on this item when playing in Operations mode.
The trade-off for the additional XP is sacrificing a Guardian Relic slot to accommodate the Gene Seed. Also, if you die before completing the mission, the Gene Seed also goes away, and you will need to get it once again during the next run.
All Gene Seed Locations In Space Marine 2
Operation Mission: Decapitation
- In the mission Decapitation, as you enter into an open area with a segment that you can jump down below, do exactly that and you will come across a hole in the wall on your left. This is one of the possible locations for the Gene Seed in the game.
- The next possible location for the Gene Seed is after you take the elevator and before heading out to the bridge, turn right and you should see a Gene Seed on the left of the huge statue.
- In the same area, proceed on the corridor to the right, and at the very end of the long passageway, on your left is the next possible location for the Gene Seed.
- After that, before taking the next elevator, turn right possible location of the Gene Seed.
- The last possible area for the Gene Seed to spawn in the mission Decapitation is after you enter into a hallway, take a left, stick to the right wall and turn right to find the Gene Seed hidden behind those bulky cylinders.
Operation Mission: Ballistic Engine
A Gene Seed is located in one of the rooms on the left side in the dust storm area.
Operation Mission: Inferno
- One Gene Seed location in Inferno is near the stairs just before entering the refinery.
- Another possible spawn location for the Gene Seed is just before the end of the mission, opposite the room containing the pod.
