Black Myth Wukong gives you several reasons to explore off the beaten path – with so many secret areas to discover; treasures to loot; and meaningful upgrades that can make a difference to your build and gameplay style hidden across. One such set of items that the game throws at you are Skandhas. There are a total of five of these, and we have put together the full guide on all 5 Skandha locations in Black Myth Wukong.
# 1: Skandha of Form | Chapter 1
The Skandha of Form is found in Chapter 1 in the Forest of Wolves area and is looted off a stone head lying near a waterfall.
- Start from the Front Hills Keeper’s Shrine in the Forest of Wolves area.
- Proceed left and cross the bridge, and keep following the narrow path. At the place where there is a big tree with a river visible beyond; take a left.
- You will run across a stream with what appears to be a big boulder – that is actually a stone head.
- Approach it and interact with it to obtain the Skandha Of Form.
# 2: Skandha Of Feeling | Chapter 2
The Skandha Of Feeling drops off the secret boss of chapter 2 – Shigandang. To unlock this boss; you will need to collect 6 Buddha’s Eyeballs located in various areas of chapter 2. You can refer to our guide on the locations of all Buddha’s Eyeballs.
#3: Skandha Of Thought | Chapter 3
The Skandha Of Thought is obtained by following a convoluted route in the Valley of Ecstasy and is looted off a stone head that lies at the very end of the path.
- Start from the Mindfulness Cliff Keeper’s Shrine in the Valley of Ecstasy.
- Drop down to the right immediately as you cross the wooden boards and then ascend the stairs.
- The path will take you for a brief period outside into the valley before it goes back into the caverns, and you will come across another set of stairs to ascend.
- At the very end of these will lie another stone head, and the Skandha Of Thought can be collected by interacting with it.
#4: Skandha Of Choice | Chapter 4
The Skandha Of Choice is located a short distance from the Purifying Spring Keeper’s Shrine in the Webbed Hollow; you can perform the following steps to reach it:
- Start from The Purifying Spring Shrine in the Webbed Hollow.
- As you come into the open area, take the roundabout route across the big hole in the middle.
- You will come across an enemy atop a stone head – this is the location of the Skandha Of Choice.
#5: Skandha Of Consciousness | Secret Boss Fight
Collecting all 4 Skandhas unlocks a secret boss fight with Giant Shigandang, and the boss drops the Skandha Of Consciousness when defeated.
- Start from the Mantis-Catching Swamp Keeper’s Shrine in the Mount Huaguo area.
- Use the Somersault Cloud spell and keep going North till you come upon an open desert area with a rock bang in the middle.
- That big rock in the middle is actually Giant Shigandang and you will need to defeat it to obtain the fifth and final Skandha.
What Are The Skandhas In Black Myth Wukong Used For?
Take the 5 Skandhas to Xu Dog in the Zodiac Village; who crafts the Five Skandhas Pills that grant a permanent boost to all your attributes. Doing this also unlocks ‘The Five Skandhas’ trophy/achievement.
