Side quests always bring the best out of any open-world adventure. As they tell stories of the people of the world, Oblivion Remastered features all the best side quests from the original. Some of the side quests offer great rewards, and some tell an engaging story to keep you captivated for a long time. Here we have compiled a list of the best side quests in Oblivion Remastered.
Side Quests You Should Not Miss In Oblivion Remastered

We are going to feature 8 of the best side quests in the game. We have taken the reward and the actual side quest experience to put these above other side quests in the game. If you are enjoying the game, do check out the following side quests for a complete Oblivion experience.
The Collector
Reward: 5000 For Completing the Quest + 5000 (500 Gold for 10 Statues each)
Where to Find: Talk to Jollring in Umbacano Manor in the Talos Plaza District in the Imperial City. Which will lead to a meeting with Lord Umbacano. Handing him an Ayleid statue will begin the quest.
Quest Details: All you have to do is collect 10 Ayleid statues from Ayleid Ruins and hand them to Umbacano. A pretty simple collectible hunting quest that carries huge rewards at the end. When you are out exploring, mark the Ayleid Ruins on the map and start your journey at each one of them.
After giving him three Ayleid Status, Umbacano will hand you a new quest, Nothing You Can Possess. Head to the following Ayleid ruins to see Ayleid statues: Culotte, Fanacas, Mackamentain, Moranda, Ninendava, Vilverin, Welke, Wendelbek, Wendir, and Wenyandawik. You can hand Ayleid statues to him all at once or each separately.
Unfriendly Competition
Rewards: Weatherward Circlet and 200 Gold
Where to Find: Interact with either Ogier Georick or Jensine in the Imperial City, Market District, to start the quest.
Quest Details: The reward alone makes the quest worth it. You will be rewarded with a Weatherward Circlet that offers Resist Fire and Frost up to 35%. If you are at level 25, you will enjoy the 35% resist bonus to Frost and Fire.
The side quest involves a lot of sneaking around, lock picking, and stealing. If you are hungry for roguish adventure, then Unfriendly Competition is one of the best side quests Oblivion Remastered offers.
Battlehorn Castle

Reward: Your very own Castle
Where to Find: Head west of Chorrol to find the Battlehorn Castle.
Quest Details: Here, you will be helping out the soldiers in the castle against the Marauders’ raid. After successfully fending them off, you will be rewarded with a new title, “The Master of the Castle“.
Now it’s your job to repair and upgrade the castle with gold. The quest reward allows you to own an entire castle and add all the upgrades to make it fancier. A perfect side quest if you don’t have anywhere to rest in Oblivion or store your goods. Finishing off the first objective of the side quest allows you to own the castle, and you can slowly build it over time.
The Killing Fields
Reward: Chillrend Sword
Where to Find: Speak to Valus Odiil NPC located inside the Gray Mare Inn, in Chorrol.
Quest Details: An interesting quest where you help out two brothers in their fight against the goblins. You will encounter three waves of rampaging goblins. Make sure to kill them quickly before they get to one of the brothers. Surviving the fight will reward you with the Chillrend weapon, with 150 gold.
The sword does 21 damage and has Frost damage of 20 pts in its enchantment. If you have played Skyrim, then you are probably aware of the damage this weapon can deliver.
Sins of the Father

Reward: Escutcheon of Chorrol/ 4 Grand Soul Gems
Where to Find: You must complete the quest Legacy Lost and wait for two in-game days in Chorrol. Fathis Ules will find you and give you the quest Sins of the Father.
Quest Details: The quest will end with multiple choices; here, you must make a decision to get the reward. We have a guide to cover all the options at the end of the side quest.
The Escutcheon of Chorrol is a perfect shield early on in the game. The mission also offers a sword, where the game asks you to hand the sword to complete the quest, but you also have the option to keep it. Do check the guide to learn more about the quest to get the most benefits out of it.
Where Spirits Have Lease
Reward: A Manor of your own
Where to Find: Head over to Anvil and purchase the Benirus Manor from Velwyn Benirus for 5000 Gold. You must carry a lot of gold to gain access to this quest, you must save it for later once you acquire over 5000 Gold.
Quest Details: So what’s so special about this quest, you ask? It is a haunted house quest, one of my favorite quests in Oblivion. To start your ghost adventure, after buying the house, sleep inside the Benirus Manor only once. And you will soon find yourself surrounded by ghosts.
Deducing the clues of the Benirus Manor will lead you to a great mystery in the basement. Once you get rid of all the spirits away from the Benirus Manor, it will automatically get fully upgraded to its original loadout.
A Brush With Death

Reward: Apron of Adroitness
Where to Find: Head over to Cheydinhal, and you will hear the rumors about the missing painter. Meet with his wife Tivela in their house to start the quest.
Quest Details: You will enter a painting and hunt trolls inside the painted world, all the while looking for a stolen paintbrush from a thief. Now, if you are looking for some fantasy adventure in Oblivion, this quest will deliver exactly that and more.
It was one of the fantastic quests in the original, and nice to see it back here in Oblivion Remastered. Don’t miss this one out, the reward also makes the quest worth your time. The Apron of Adroitness offers Agility and Intelligence boost, a light armor set perfect for a mage and rogue build.
Paranoia
Reward: 1500 Gold
Where to Find: You can activate the quest by speaking to Glarthir, who will be walking around the town of Skingrad.
Quest Details: When a quest begins with you spying on an NPC’s neighbor, you can already assume it’s off the handle. The detective elements of the side quest are the highlight here, you have many options to find out about the quest giver to learn the real truth, or just follow the objectives without any questioning.
It is the layers to the quest that reveal the greater plot. After completing the quest, you will get a generous 1500 gold for your trouble.
